Outlaw I too find when in 'countdown till next round screen' you're locked in and can't exit the lobby.
I'm doing same as you, waiting till next round starts and then quitting? Why these don't come with printed manuals I don't know?
Good question on the blue green diffs.
I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. Team Deathmatch is obv but the other ones are difficult to figure out your goal/mission. As far as equipping yourself goes there is zero description of all the little nick nacks? What do I use a radio beacon for? I tossed a health kit (by accident, surprised myself) last night, what's the for? I pushed X last night and accepted 'revival' when I was hurt. Is the health kit for that?
Flying the jets is super cool and confusing. I need alot of practice. You're flying along in one and then your warning lights go off letting you know you just got hit by something and you push circle and bail out, then push X for your chute. While gliding down your guns are active. I flew a helo last night across a map to the battle, bailed out and pulled my chute, two seconds after I landed the Helo came crashing down into a small building and leveled it. There's a map with two cranes. You can climb to the top of either which takes a good five minutes, crawl out on the boom and snipe from there. I sniped somebody on another buildings rooftop from way way away. Used the third mil-dot down after I saw first round hit low. Things like this make BF3 much more of an interaction rather than just playing a game. I laid on top of a rock pile and watched the battle from across a field. It was like watching CNN war clips. You've got guys running around, tanks coming in, armored vehicles pulling up with guys jumping out entering the fight, Helicopters, Warthogs and various jets swooping in or doing battle in the sky. All these things are being controlled by players not the computer.
A pair of VR goggles would be scary with this game.
