Doug thanks alot for coming and spending so much time with me @ Harborview!(TruWrecks @ Aug. 23 2006,01:14) Well since everybody's being real hush-hush about yesterday...I'll fess up some info.
I kidnapped James again. We went Hall Drifting to the terrace above the West parking garage. He seemed to have fun, but he was preoccupied with his current medical limitations (just to keep it a bit less personal).
We met with Eric, DJ, and Cherie. Eric had a friend along to help him with the puppies. (Don't argue with me on this. ALL dogs are puppies at heart!). My apologies, I'm teribble with names the first time I meet someone. (She was a looker.).
The puppies were very excited to see James. Eric picked Lucy up, and she gave James a kiss, abd drooled on him. The ultimate sign of affection from a puppy. James was obviously very touched by seeing the puppies. He said he knows they're being well taken care of. He said to say thanks to Drinky-Crow and Eric for helping out.
James was very alert the entire time I was there. I left him a foam brain to squeeze with his hands. That will help build his stregth back up. It will also help with him using his right arm more. If you visit, have him use it while you're there. The nurse thought it was pretty cool. A brain, to help his brain. I also left him a toy to anoy everyone with. You'll have to visit to see it.
The nurse said James is doing very well, and is sometimes grumpy. That's a good sign.
I'll be checking in with him every few days, as I can get down there. Next time I'm there, I'll take my laptop and ask James to dictate to me what he wants to say to everyone. I will do it with my login, so nobody gets confused that he may be out of the hospital already. He'll be there for a while longer. He has a few more weeks before he can put any real weight on his left leg.
Thank you to everyone for your support. James really does appreciate it! That's from his own mouth.
Doug
110% correct about the dogs being my first thought!(rubbersidedown @ Aug. 03 2006,15) If BV loves those dogs as much as I love mine,we must make sure they are cared for properly.
It may sound stoopid to "non-dog" people, but they will be his first major concern upon waking...trust me.
I will take care of them if nobody can locally. I could meet the transporter at the ferry dock here on my island.
When I got crashed,I got brain damage, and was in shock, the first thing I thought of was my dogs(the HouseMouse was in England at the time). I checked myself outa the trauma ward(against their wishes) and took a 250.oo dollar taxi ride home to make sure they didn't spend the night outside in the kennel.
If its not possible to get them to me,and nobody feels comfortable taking care of 2 Pitbulls (I'm not bothered by them 'cause I'm meaner...hahahaha) lets get them into a good kennel.
Let me know please. I'll start fund raising with money from one of my credit cards. Rubb is poor. :4:
Update me soon please.... RSD.
thank you very much Michelle !(VaBusa @ Oct. 13 2006,06:52) I hope you get 'em soon JamesJust keep getting yourself better!!! So awesome to see you around here again...
(BentValve @ Oct. 12 2006,13:20) "I'll tell you everything... including stuff you said that even made Scootergirl blush and drop her jaw!!"
........
oooh come on tell me what I said!! .
Oh yes sweet as pumkin pie is right!(whitefire @ Oct. 13 2006,11:51) No worries! I'll tell you more when I bring your dogs up.
Sorry that Eric nor I can get the dogs to you sooner. I will be picking up Eric saturday afternoon (the 21st) then we'll get Willy and Lucy and bring them home to you. Your dogs can be quite a handful so Eric and I will both bring them up to you.
How's the blanket Scootergirl brought you? She's sweet as pumpkin pie isn't she? Oh yeah, (I know you don't remember) but I'll hold you to one thing you told her and I. You had said that you and I will ride down to Olympia sometime and have dinner with her and ScooterRash. Next season sometime we'll have to do that. By then you'll have a new bike and hopefully I'll have a new one too.
