quick update on my condition:

left femur , strongest and biggest bone in the human body btw.
not just broken but pretty mcuh shattered it.
metal rods were installed from butt and upper buttox area near lower back.

collar bone , never had any pain here since my memory time which starts like Sept 15th ors\ so.

face , no pain , had plastic installled around my eye where my skull broke.

left arm, broken bone near wrist , broken thumb, metal installed.
No pain here , cast was removed 9/27 guess I chewed off the first 2 casts from what I am told.

I broke more but forget what they were but no other pain so thats good.
head, needs work, I hit my head very hard broke skull underneath it basically and no it was no my helmeet did
not break off my Arai has 3 very small cracks in it, thats all.

I am convinced it saved my life.

Lawyer has it for testing right now.

regardless my head got messed up any ways.

Do internal bleeding or swelling of my brain so that part s ok still injured regardless.

Got home and found a complete suzuki looking fork wrapped in plastic sitting on my counter.
Obviously it did not come from my bike because I wrecked it and obviously it had 2 forks on it

So thankful we had so many great members close by to go see you! Thanks to all of them again and you just keep getting better!

James. You may not ever regain the memory lapses. I have had 2 head involved crashes that resulted in loss of memory of time. One was loss of memory of the day of the accident and he other was like days before the accident. It was explained that it was your own natural way of blocking out traumatic events. You don't have to relive the pain and the trauma. It protects you from that. It used to bother me trying to replay the events that led up to impact so I can assure myself of how I conducted myself to avoid future ones. To no avail. I have never been able to recall what was lost. Perhpas little bits and pieces of a day at best. But nothing even close to the events of the trauma. My last crash laid me up for 9 months. I feel for ya buddy.

Get better, focus on you, and your pups. You will realize just how important your health is. It is what will allow you to get back to what you had before. Don't second guess what the medical community is doing. I was in physical therapy for months. Hated it for weeks, until you see they know how to do thier jobs and they are making you better.

Don't let the pressure of the circumstance affect you into making bad decisions. You may have bills piling up etc. Pressure coming from creditors. Don't buckle to that. You focus on getting well above all else. If they put to much pressure on you, there are ways to fight back. I was financially ruined from being laid up for 9 months. I speak from hard lessons here dude.

Get well first and foremeost.

Glad to hear you are doing so much better, James. You've come an unbelievable way! Keep on... it'll all come together soon.

Hey James it is great to see ya posting. For a while there I thought we may have lost you. You have a great circle of friends on the left coast and should be grateful for them. I have no doubt that they were instrumental in your recovery. I wish I could have helped ya out more, but sending e-mails to your room was about the limit of my assistance.

You can't change the past, memory or not, so look to the future. Don't sweat the small stuff and financial garbage. Hopefully the lawyer you guys have will do well by you, and in time it'll be done. You can't rush anything(though if I rode with the ladies you do, I'd be rushing too!). Only the lord knows what the future brings, you just need to take day by day and have faith brother!

I agree 110%!!!!!!!

We're always here for ya!

good luck and get well soon. I was involved in a near fatal car accident that crushed my hip and pelvis, broke ALL my ribs basically, and numerous internal injuries. (CPR for 93 seconds on a life flight anyone?) I had just turned 20 when it happened.

Like it was said, focus on YOU. You need this time to heal up and concentrate on getting your self well mentally and physically. I dont want to be the one to say this but depression might set in, and you may end up mourning the loss of who you used to be. I did. Keep in touch with friends and dont be afraid to ask for help and take it when offered. It might be hard to ask for out of pride, but no one who is a friend is thinking that its a PITA to help you. Also dont be afraid to tell the ones who care about you how your feeling. PTSD is a bitch to deal with, I went through it but I didnt tell anyone. I remember what happened to me, and I still have dreams about it. I hope this helps you, I know we dont know each other, but I can say I truly feel your pain, and I have a very good idea of what you are going through. I spent 4 months in a wheelchair, luckily after 2 1/2 yrs of rehabbing everything was normal for the most part.

I'm glad to hear you back home and doing well! I was on vacation last week and didnt see about your release until today! It was great news to read! Welcome home BV!!

You are an inspiration to us! Take it slow and steady and try not to get discouraged!! Sounds like you have plenty of friends to continue to help you through these tough times. If you need something and its within my power, let me know! shane.ross@sheppard.af.mil
