ure off by a mile man.. any human being doesn't wanna be in that environment man.. its brutal.. the strong survive... the weak hide... ANYWAY u slice it... YA DONT WANNA GO BACK... they are given all the tgools to make good in society... believe me.... sooooooo we are left with.. the repeat offenders after a certain amount of felony conviction are given long long sentences.. they need to be there... the child molesters need to be executed... and the lifers are there forever....some make it out and are productive citizens... some are JUST EVIL... the correction officer thing is a question of professionalism and my ability to f*** a guy up if he disrespects me enough.Yeah that's what I was saying, some of these prisons are a 100 years old and pretty much what they were when built. This get's back to our "Corections" debate Daniel (if I may call you that, Lol). We could build prisons that are safe for the prisoners and more importantly for guards. Make them safe and some corrections can start to happen. Prisoners aren't going to think about life out of prison unless they believe they can actually survive prison. But how many tax payers are going to want to pay for a state of the art prison? People feel like if you're in prison it should be a terrible place, that way you won't want to come back. But terrible prisons take predators and turn them into super predators and then turn them lose on the streets to a $7/hr job. A warden once told me that's like turning a lion lose in a jungle full of sheep and then feeding him an oz of hamburger a day, won't be long before he's eating sheep.
So the real question is not whether the guards are prison guards or corrections officers, it's are the tax payers willing to put the money into the system to recover some sanity in the process. And of course is the goal of the politicians to warehouse a certain percent of the population or to correct people who are not equipped to participate in a civilized society.
ure off by a mile man..
For the record, forty years ago when I was much younger and full of piss and vinegar, I ran many, many times and never got caught. Over the years I realized how dangerous it was - not only to myself, but to others, so I stopped doing it. Yes, it was stupid to do, but really easy. Now that I am older it's fun to recount the stories and 100 mile an hour wheelies, and all of that. These days, I just pull over. Cops are crazy, and it's not worth getting killed because of a stupid ticket. There are much worse things in life. I will say this - at least around here, the young kids do wheelies in packs, routinely ride between cars, disrupt everything, gangs of bikes everywhere, no respect at all. More like hooligans than hot rodders . . .
does it matter ? the guy lost his life? who cares about the bike, No motorcycle is worth a human life friend!what if the bike was stolen?? plate useless then...
Its like being an alcoholic and glorifying all those drunken nights, they were awesome right? Trust me I've had too many of those. Anytime you run from the red and blue lights, its selfish because other lives occupy the roads, so why do you or I have special privileges? because it makes a great story? I have 4 kids I and i would hate to lose one to an awesome story.
Racing is a calculated risk/choice. Running from police is stupid and dangerous.
Forty years ago was a different America BTW.
prison guards of the past weren't even given any instruction on hand to hand combat....they spend weeks on that in the academy... how to end a fight quickly... striking and certain moves to debilitate a person..We are exposed to tear gas and pepper spray every year.. it hurts like hell... ruins clothes...
I wouldn't know about glorifying drunken nights, too bad that is your experience. Forty years ago was a different time, and I never "ran" in a school zone, residential area, past cross streets or through intersections. Only on open stretches like highways where that at that kind of speed I was only a danger to myself.
FYI, I agree with you. Running is foolish and dangerous and stupid. No motorcycle, no traffic infraction is worth yours or any other person's life.
With that said, I'll bet you and everyone else has gone above the posted speed limit, or topped your bike out where you thought is was safe to do so. Or done stupid things while riding, or ridden without a helmet. If you only ride your Hayabusa under 60 miles an hour all the time everywhere you go, maybe you should just get a Honda scooter. Everyone is entitled to their viewpoint and their opinions. Try to put them out there without being insulting. Your viewpoint is valid, let it stand on it's own.
yes I'm lying like a dog in the living room!lolWell Bobby B, you don't know me but you somehow managed to nail me exactly! Idiot, stupid. lol! But come on buddy, if you ride a busa and never go more than 65 you are lying or riding the wrong bike. A cop is going to pull you for embarassing the brand.
You sound biased and egotistical. Who gives a damn about how many inmates you fought or about your opinion that all inmates are scum and below you. And you paint the picture like all prisons are like blood in blood out or american me. I guess in doing this you want to be glorified as some savior of America. Its guys like you who give police, cops, correction officers a bad name and rep. You think your Gods gift to the american way and that inmates are inferior to you. Im a honorably discharged disabled combat vet BEFORE I been to prison. Im not ashamed to say that...every inmate in prison doesnt belong to be there. I met alot of good dudes in there and a few Im good friends with to this day. I also met some correctional officers who sniffed coke, brought dope and liquor in, were racist as the Klan grand wizard, beat their wives, had sex with inmates. Half of these COs and half of the people in America are a thin line from having been an inmate themselves just havent gotten caught. All it takes is being found out and standing before the right court and right judge. And all this talk like youre changing lives...man most of them programs are a farce. And how can you talk about teaching men Respect when you respect none of them? I know your type. You sound like you enjoy your JOB and from what you say thats fighting inmates, doing shakedowns, and being on a power trip. Just punch your clock, keep the details to yourself and save all the accolades for AMERICAS REAL HEROS.Ohh.. and if prisons took predators and made them superpredators... I would be dead... that's horseshit... scum is scum... we help and provide all the services and education that an inmate can stand... we teach them how to live like humans... get up early in the AM.. GO TO WORK.... RESPECT........ RESPECT...... RESPECT.... follow rules... for many this is the first time doing this... some people like child molesters cannot be helped... serial killers cant be helped... we spend a lot of time FIGHTING with these guys... but they need to be there... drug dealers are many times hard workers... they can be helped...
