BEST 1/4 AND 1/8 MILE TIMES

Your 1/8 E/T is right in there with my slips from last year near the same 1/4 E/T. I was usually in the 110.5 area. I'm running an almost identical setup. Full Yosh PC etc but I'm about 25#s heavier. Like I said above, adding a couple of teeth to the rear might pick up MPH slightly.

You might play with this a little bit. The last time I weighed my bike, we tipped the scales at 775.

I suspect your dyno might be a bit optimistic from the numbers you are posting so don't dwell on the MPH too much. I'd also try some 87 or 89 octane in it and see if you can see a difference.

I also edited my above post It should have said I really would NOT expect much more than 140-141 out of it. Sorry about that.

Here is a link you might paly with a bit. http://www.amaprostar.com/dynos.asp

ok thanks...yeah i know my 60ft could be alot better. but the guy i got the bike from was in the 140mph range and he weighs about 295-300lbs. but he rode it all summer and then i bought it and cant gettin past 136 on pump gas. havent ran it on U4 yet though. the map is setup for 93 octane or U4. i saw the dyno sheet from his runs. ill have to get them from our friend that has the dyno and post it on here. the bike runs great but maybe it could use a tune up or something. ive put 6000 miles on it in 2 months and he rode it for about 2 to 3000 miles this year.

A 295-300# rider is NOT gonna pull 140mph with a stk motored Busa(no nitrous), won't matter what kinda gas he was running.
You are prolly not getting to wot soon in 1st gear. This helps mph a decent amount. I would think that with more seat time, your 60' would get better. Also your mph will prolly pickup some as well. Tuning may help as well as the right conditions(altitude/temp/humidity/baro, etc)

yeah i definitely need some practice on my launch. i figure its not too bad for having the stock clutch. i wont be at the track untill spring so over winter the Busa is getting the clutch mod and 4inch extenders on the swingarm. so i should be good. i just cant wait to see the 9s. even if its a 9.99 ill be happy!

Stk clutch is good enough. I've been 1.55 60's with the totally stk clutch setup on my 04 Busa at stk wheelbase. Brocks mod works good when your getting your 60's lower than that. When you extend it, you'll wanna at least add some spring pressure, either with spring spacers or HD springs. Would be a good time for Brocks mod then too.
With more seat time, your setup is capable of easy 9's at stk wheelbase. Don't give up!!!

im a new guy on here and i have a 2002 Busa with yosh full single exhaust, power commander and quick shifter....the bike was lowered in the rear and strapped in the front. bike made 172rwhp on 93 octane....im 6'8 210lbs.
also on stock clutch.
best run so far(only had the bike for 2 months)

60ft......1.78
1/8 <a href="mailto:et....6.68@111.37" onclick="window.open(this.href,'_blank');return false;">
1/4 et...10.27@135.44

any ideas why my mph isnt in the 140s?

?
BTW, thats about the best hp i've seen for a yosh pipe and no other mods. On a piped Busa, i've pulled 147mph in very good air and altitude at 190 suited. You should be able to pull 145 under the same conditions. I see no reason you should'nt break 140 most anywhere.

i draged for 10+ yrs in the late 80 and 90's    had a car tire 1150 in the  7.90s  and several street tire bikes in the low 9's    i dropped out for several years ,
