Big winter project under way.

it's always a scramble no matter how well things are scheduled and planned. I've still got alot of things that are pending as well. :banghead:

Me too, I have to fill the tank up with gas~!~

I really wanted to get the head worked on a bit, but that's not happening at this point...

Time is running short. Worse case is i will have to run it in May. Well the parts are ordered.
Wossner Rods
Wossner Turbo Pistons
tool steel shift shafts
hd output shaft with 20 tooth sprocket
high volume oil pump gear
1/2" case studs
main studs
pair valve block off plates
manual cam chain ten.
dbl roller cam chain conversion
clutch slave support
hd cluches and steels
That was todays order and earlier in the week i got a mtc multi stage lock up clutch assembly off ebay with ever thing i need incuding the bullet basket.

Im happy to get this rolling:cheerleader:

Who has the best deal on the ECU editor?

can you still change some of that order?

toss the HD clutch pack and stick with OE.
The clutch slave support/ sprocket cover I've got for a Gen 2

thanks Ken I was able to get that taken off my order. PM u tomorrow. I cant wait to get some pics for the new parts on here this week. :cheerleader:

Man your living my dream one of these days I'll be able to start a thread like this one for my bike

Good luck to you I can't wait to hear about it after you get it on track if it scares you to much just let me know

I like what I am seeing so far! I can't wait to see the numbers from the dyno and the first run down the track. Keep up the good work.

Thanks guys for the support. Im still waiting for my parts. I did get my ecu editor today from Boost by Smith. Cant wait to use it.

look into bullseye turbos bro. the s400 series should be big enough, but they spool as fast as a ball bearing turbo, but with a journal bearing center section. the 400100-17 is the same size as the 4508R, but with an 87mm inducer, rather than an 81mm inducer. greater volume in. it won't run as high a pressure ratio, but it's more efficient at the boost levels you're likely to run. pm me if you want help picking a turbo, i breathe boost as a hobby:thumbsup:

Yippy Yippy. I got my big order today. I will post some pics as soon as i can. Rods pistons and a bunch of other goodies that will help in the pursuit of happiness in SPEED. Thank you A.P.E.:cheerleader:

Here are some of the parts I got today.
Most of the parts are from A.P.E. the cluch and header from ebay and the clutch slave support from Commuta_busa. Thanks again Ken. :beerchug:

Well I sent my rods and pistons back yesterday. I wanted the 3/8" bolts and they only come on the gen 1 rods. So I hope i get them soon. I will have to go with a taller spacer too.

If I was absolutely looking to make a motor bulletproof.....

look into cryo treating everything.

It wears slower and holds up better...top fuel dragsters do it...

.....fyi if it was mentioned in this 30 page post...sorry....I'm lazy

Fill me in on the cryo. I havent heard of this before.

cryo treatment helps "toughen-up" componenets. I don't think you need to go this route yet. The componenets you've choosen are up to the task. Once you get up to the 900hp levels you may want to think about having the trans parts cryoed.

Thanks Ken.
I have spent half the day trying to make a bracket for the battery to put it behind the headlights. Pain in the A** is what it is. I think it will be easier with the right tools and some race fairings. Anyone know of some good race fairings at a good price for a gen 2. It would be great if the ram air was closed off too.

make a bracket that mounts over the front fairing stay bracket and just build some arms off of it to help mount the battery...

The cheapest way would be to stick with your OE upper and just blank out the air inlets and headlight. If you can pickup another headlight you could gut it and retain the lens cover.

There are a few companies that make a race/turbo upper as a direct replacement. Goldenchild might be able to get you a deal on one.
