I don't think anyone is gonna laugh at your misfortune. At least you lived to tell about it. I could tell you not to beat yourself up about it, but you'll do it anyway (so would I). Chicks dig scars. Hope you get it fixed up to your satisfaction soon!

Well IG the rear brake wasn't my first thought but when I got down to last ten feet or so in my last millisecond and realized I wasn't gonna clear it panic set in and over rode common thought and I gave her a bit of rear brake . Obviously it was too much .
Well first Im glad you were able to walk and ride away from it.

Glad you made it. I watched the whole incident unfold, let me tell you was hard to watch. All it takes is the loss of a second, 00:01 amount time in concentration can ruin anyones day.
Can happen and does happen to a lot of people though not every one pays for it, and don't realize that they zoned out for a sec.
Well let's just say my knee and wrist don't hurt as much as my ears do

She's a loving but pissed wife and naturally concerned . It's understandable .
Keith the GoPro battery died about ten minutes before . When we stopped I saw it was shut off . I had spare battery but decided not to put it in cuz I wanted to save it for the ride home . I am really kicking myself for not loading it in and getting GoPro going again as it most definitely would have been a must see video .

dang blanca, just saw this thread and thought "NO WAY!! NOT BLANCA!!" I always look forward to your posts bc u are always giving us great advice, and willing to go far and beyond to do whatever u can to help other org members. Then i noticed this post and my stomach about hit the floor. Very sorry to see this, but extremely glad u are ok with no major injuries. Damage doesn't seem too bad, hope u get her fixed up quick.

INS is being very nice so far . Was asked to go get an estimate and forward it to them.
After that they are willing to cut me a check and allow me to put parts on myself .
Hemi thanks for offering the peg but I think it will be ok if I just have it powder coated again .
I'm pretty sure the estimate from dealer will be more expensive than ordering the parts online so I should be ok .
The bike is totally fine and as mentioned I rode her home over 200 miles .
In a way it's good I hit car semi sideways and not straight on .
Wheels and front fender and all that are still perfect .
After that they are willing to cut me a check and allow me to put parts on myself .
