Blancas down !

Dude that just sucks! I'm so sorry for you but very glad you walked and eventually rode away. Expensive pizza heard!
I have a stator cover with your name on it, Also a front nose fairing with a very small blem on it if you want/need. lemme know. Again, sorry.

Your offer is very much appreciated but I don't think I'll need it .
INS should hopefully replace all with new so I should be ok .
I need to go to dealer and get an estimate and forward it to them. Then we will see what happens . Female adjuster I spoke to on phone has been extremely nice and said there may not even be a need for an estimator to come look at the bike ? I asked her what the possibility was of me doing the work myself in order to save them labor costs from the dealer and she was very open to that idea . Since nothing is really broken I can do all the replacing of parts myself and would feel alot better if allowed to do it .

Does anyone know if Pazzo will sell just one lever or do they only come in sets ? I only need clutch lever as brake is still fine .

Sorry to read this Saiid. Thanks for sharing. Good that it wasn't worse.

SAIID!! DOOD! You are so lucky!

Ok, enough with the over excitement. So many other things could've gone wrong my brother and it's well to see you will physically mend. Just don't self destruct as this can be the worst kind of injury (but me thinks you know better than that  )

Glad you could walk away to continue riding that day (that's a big 'WOW!') Lookin' forward to monitoring your continued post comp with DENNYM. God speed and good rest busa bro! :beerchug:

Man I'm SO SORRY to se this thread Blanca !!

Glad you made it out "okay".

I wasn't paying attention one day last year, and traffic stopped in front of me, and I locked up the rear. I don't know how I made it out, I almost high sided. I let off the brakes to go around, and there was a car turning in front of me, so I had to gas it to get past him. Someone said that's probably what kept me from high siding, I don't know ?

Now, I always practice stopping as fast as I can, but it's the panic when it happens that's hard to practice with.

Good luck Bro

Jay thank you . It really did suck bigtime but Busa1166 and O Holy P were with me at my invite . Neither had ever been to place we were going to for lunch . I called them late late the night before to see if they wanted to go with me. It was a good moment to say 'i don't feel like continuing' but I had ridden the farthest to get to where we were, more than 200 miles ! I was dinged up , my bike was crying but dang nabbit I was gonna go have me a pizza !
Worst part was last ten miles on return trip . It was raining so hard that traffic slowed down to ten mph . We were crawling in a torrential downpour !
I got home absolutely soaked and wrecked and then the Cuban Dragon let me have it :)

It's been a rough season here. I appreciate these posts and try to learn from them.

Thanks for sharing your experience, and take it easy so you heal quickly.

Well Saiid, sheet happens. Hope that knee heals up fast, I dont think Adam is gonna be slowing down for ya.

He called me a knucklehead  :(

Sorry to here about your accident, Glad you are Okay. Accident's Happen it does not matter how a good rider you are. If you are in the wrong place at the wrong time you are going to get it. You cannot concetrate 100% all the time.

Glad you're ok Saiid. Sorry to hear about the off, but given the size of the dent in that Yukon you made out pretty well.

True, but it's a good thing he is a good, heads-up rider as it could have been far worse!

Thanks for the comment Chef but really it is and was all my fault. That is why in my first post I dont really even consider it an 'accident'.
It was an at fault . I pushed myself a bit too far and rather than taking a little longer and needed break at the Circle K I figured I could push on as we were only about 20 minutes away from restaurant where we were going. My head wasnt really 'up' as I drifted for only a second or so and then when I 'woke up' I realized I was heading dead center for back of car . I got really lucky to have not gone flat into back of the car.
It could have been alot worse but should have been better if I been a little smarter and rested a bit longer.

Blanca, im glad you are ok. No need in beating yourself up. This could happen to ANY of us. Stay strong man:thumbsup:

Man that was a close one. I have a set of stock pegs off of my 08 you can have if you want them. PM me your address and I will sent them to ya. I am glad you are OK

Mr8Ball thank you for the offer.
I think if I take this peg off and have it Powder coated again it will look new. It really is only scuffed from the road when it fell over but not damaged in any way.

You got lucky. Chalk it up to a learning experience that we all get once in a while. Sounds like you have the right attitude about it.
I'm glad that you're ok & the bike has such minor damage.

Sorry to hear about that Saiid, I'm glad it didn't turn out to be any worse than it was.

Like others have said, the bike can be fixed...glad you came out ok~!~

I am not really a religous person anymore but I think someone was riding with you...and you probably gave him a heII of a ride! I have almost done the same thing in fact on monday I watched a "chopper" do exactly the same thing you did but miss the hard parts. He was rubbing his knee a little later but the bike didn't make contact.

Glad you made it out reasonably well, could have been a lot worse.
