Horse pucky….Let me let you in on a little secret about doctors. THEY ALWAYS SAY THAT. Doctors prepare you for the worst case scenario because they are tired of people suing them. If they say you will be riding again in 6 months and you can’t, you will be pissed and sue them. If they docs say you will never ride again and you do, you are happy and thanking them. The doctors told me I would never walk without a cane let alone ride again and most people don’t even notice my limp, ditched my cane 3 months into PT. Don’t let them discourage you, just work hard in PT and you will be fine.

yes, doctors do spell out the worst case scenario, that's sorta their job. you will be able to ride again, just take your time with this, as you already understand better than me. it seems such a good sign that you're doing computer stuff only hrs after this.

curious, what exatally was she driving, and what was her first words to you and her general reaction? was she apologetic? was it a busy area and did other motorcycists stop? or was it out in the boonies. take care...

i agree with mr leather. I hate to use the "d" word, but........ I ride with many cruiser groups, some wear, some don't. I always wear a full face, I feel naked without it, I hate the road noise! if you were not wearing a helmet you would be dead (sorry, i'm winsing) or a vegatable. this should be a lesson for everyone. take care man...

What make of helmet was it that cracked in half?

They're actually designed to do that. It disperses the force better so it doesnt go to your noggin. So whatever brand, it did its job...
