The ABSOLUTE worst job of post whorin' I have ever seen in my tenure.
nah, I think you just beat it.

I just looked at this thread for the first time and remember riding on base back in the late 80's and having to wear that stupid orange vest. Not only did we have to wear it on base, but everywhere we went.
That was just another of many straws on the camel's back that led to me saying "no" at reinlistment time and starting over in the outside world. I'm glad I did.

Good cause but bad example of the double standard for high raniking individuals vs the low guys in the food chain...

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Richard Myers rides his motorcycle across Memorial Bridge along with thousands of other bikers during the annual Rolling Thunder memorial ride in Washington Sunday, May 29, 2005. The Rolling Thunder event, coinciding with the Memorial Day weekend, has been focusing attention on POW-MIA issues since 1988. Riders also advocate for veterans' rights.

Where is the reflective gear, wife’s gloves, and are those sunglasses and not goggles?

Hmmmmmmmmm ISN'T he suppose to have an ORANGE VEST ON? Is he not violating some military rules and regulations? This should be sent to the news media, And a point made of a double standard.

In the AF instruction it states you must only be reflective at night, same as DOD instruction. You only have to wear bright colors during the day.

Post commander folded under pressure from the local media... A little

He recinded his policy for 30 days to allow the personnel who did not get the class, time to get it.

As far as the bright colored clothing issue, that is what it states in the regulation but it also goes on to say that black, blue, white, red, and green are not to be concidered "bright". A black shirt with ol glory on it does not meet the criteria layed out in the regulation. The Army does not care if you are almost right, you have to be completely right, so the spouse on the back makes it wrong no matter what..
