The Air Force Base I live on is the most anal safety base there is, but I've heard nothing about limiting cell phone use, other then those in uniform aren't allowed to use them.

It is an offence to use a mobile without a hands free kit in Australia, however a lot of studies here indicate drivers are almost as distracted while talking. Lets face it, if your having a conversation your mind is probally not on the job.

Text messaging also seems to cause problems with pin heads looking into their lap/hand and pressing away.

I'd like the things banned for use in cars, I've lost count haw many times I've seen these idiots swerving all over the road, not looking when they change lanes ect, ect.

It's bad enough out there with the average skill levels of most dirvers.
