April, you are still talking snow across the North. So getting there and destitnation means you could ride into snow. NOT GOOD...

I talked it over with Kim and it looks like we won't be able to make the round up in Colorado but the gap is a sure thing. I just need about 3-4 weeks ahead of time to schedule some time off. We are open to anything mid-April. We will be at Myrtle in May and probably back to the dragon in June. We will probably be staying at the "resort". Chris

I'm in for April and May and whenever else

My bday is April 1, so probably not that weekend and then the 28th -1st May but most any others are good ..... heck if its nice in March I'm game too

I know I will be making a trip in March. It will probally just a day trip. NE hit the nail on the head, if we wait untill May we would probally have warmer weather and those trailering/riding from up north will have better weather coming down.

In May we have the weekend of the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th. What would work the best for the majority?

March, April, or August is good for me. I have Myrtle Beach in May and Laguna in July, soooooooooo that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

I don't usually have any issues with taking time off... I just need to spread my events around a little.

Last year we did two. One I think in May and another was planned for August. I am sure we will make at least two planned ones this year.

Maybe we should start a poll?

well its not the closest place for me to get to, but I can do a friday night arrival and leave sunday afternoon a few times I'm sure ... just when I'm not on call

the whopping $49/night for the "resort" is fairly affordable but we'll have to see how gas prices get before I can get up there every month

but I'll say I'm in for April and/or March/May. Weather will dictate my availability more than likely for March and the amount of other groups in the area will probably factor on other times.

I say if we get a poll going, we do one for April vs. May and then get the dates listed on the tailofthedragon.com site asap so that other groups plan around us

nothing sux more than there being like 5 car clubs and 5 groups of bikes up there at the same time

In Robbinsville, at the Phillips Motel, there are several cabins. Each one can sleep 2 to three couples. I stayed at cabin 1 last time I was there. It had 3 seperate bedrooms. Two each with full beds and one with 2 singles. It has a couch and pleanty of floor space for any one sleeping on an air mattress. There is a full kitchen. All for $125/night.

I do not know if my wife will be attending. If she does not go, I will more than happily split a room.

hey what about us folks across the pond,,,,,,,do I need to organize a European tour? Late May early June? Any takers? I could probably pull off a nice cross "Countries" tour to include Italy, Germany, and maybe the Netherlands. My house in Italy could accomidate at least 8......opps better clear this one with the wife first:) Let me know I am up for it.

ok, my vote is for something NOT May 20-23....actually I won't show up that weekend if thats the choice because riding that area with 3-5k bikes would suck .... just my opinion.

James, The guys at the Punkin Center Campground are working on a gathering! A Big Gap Meet! I have the flyer in front of me. It is not listed on the web site yet. They are calling it the 1st annual "wakin' the dragon spring rally" May 20-23 Live music, biker contests(wet t-shirt ect) Organized rides, great food, camping ect. There will be vendors (spaces still open) I'm sure Nancy and Ron will have a Tailofthedragon booth. There will be plenty of Food & beer
store right around the corner! I can list more contact info ect with Killboys approval. Those wanting to attend I would recomend reserving a cabin (these are small and very affordable sleeping quarters not your huge log homes) I just got off the phone with the campground and they are expecting a 3-5,000 crowd. This camp ground has had live music every saturday night from spring to fall. Bob
