Operation Winter has begun! Suggestions folks on where to send em.... Or should I take the whole bike to have everything matched? Is there a significant cost diff verses the performance gained? I'm not looking to break the sound barrier, just need a little boost in the performance...

Depends what you are looking for??  Carpenter is good can be high price at times.  Lots of ways to increase the hp without going into the head.  What type of hp are you a? What type of HP are you trying to get to?

I am thinking about the same thing, I was wanting 180-190 to the wheel what would be the quickest and easiest with money not being an object?

My Busa had about 2,600 miles on it when I took it to Carpenter. It now has about 8,000 miles on it. Ive had the bike at the track many times since and ride it pretty hard too.

No problems as of yet. I will be going back for the big bore (1397cc) soon.

Oh yea, I change my oil every 750-1250 miles.

and what did that run ya. Is there any hidden cost associated with gettin a carpenter? ie bigger fuel injectors, pistons rods. do they have a site so i can check out what else they offer

NE did you ever get any headwork done to the Great Green One? I've heard alot of good things about Carpenter Racing and some not so good concerning the numbers advertised! I'm looking to go somewhere a little closer its about 11 hours to JC's place and about double that to Carpenter's.......

You aren't gonna find much nicer work then Carpenter's.
For $1300, you get a complete port job, valve job, new valve springs and return, insured shiping.

Thats very reasonable.... How's the bike perform IYO after being modded? Still running pump gas? Did you remove/exchange any of the head gaskets?

just checked out the site. What kind of power did u get for 1300 bucks. I looked at the site and the cheapest combo they had was like 2300 bucks for 200hp. Also do you have to take your bike down there or is it a mail delivery thing?
