Busa heads...

and what did that run ya.  Is there any hidden cost associated with gettin a carpenter? ie bigger fuel injectors, pistons rods. do they have a site so i can check out what else they offer
2,800 in/out in 2 weeks. All your bike needs is a pipe and pc.

I've heard alot of good things about Carpenter Racing and some not so good concerning the numbers advertised!
True, Carpenter doe's come in slightly under his claimed #s. His 210 package advertised is with a muzzy sidewinder and tune for max hp. Not streetable hp. Mine pulled 207 to the wheel. Not to bad considering mine is set up for the street.

thats pretty sweet. Did you have to take your bike down there or just mail in the engine? Does Johnny Cheese do the same kind of work?

KS ya could always Give Spaz Racing a jingle near Cedar Rapids iowa not sure what he charges for head work but he did my motor heads and cams and i've been well satisfied with his work and response to my questions here is his number and we address

not too much info on the site. How much did they charge you for the work. Seeing that 200 hp is only 2k away makes me want it even more.

Johnny can remove and replace the head, cylinder or anything else you want, but does NOT do the actual machine work.
He can ship the head to Carpenter and have it back, ready to instal in 2-3 weeks.
The regular CnC ported head isn't listed on Carpenter's web site. You have to call for it.
I can't tell you about a power increase, because I added a 1397, and Carpenter cams at the same time.
It made like 195 hp, but that was through a stock exhaust. I would expect another 15hp with a BDE GenIII, or a HMF Big Bird, maybe more.
I've had 2 stock valve heads and 1 big valve head done there and they turnaround time and the work was flawless!
I'll post some pictures, but I gotta go to work now. It'll be a couple of days.

Thanks for all the info, can't wait to see the pic's.... Oh, I have considered Spaz! Thanks for the link and phone number didn't have that yet. While were on the subject anyone here had any experience with either Yosh, Web, or Mega cams.....? I've heard its best for a stock motor to only replace (upgrade) one and not the other. I'm looking at all my options to hit that 185 hp..

Spaz has an 04 that he put yosh cams and a brock exhayst and PC and made 178 on pump gas he says as for port and polish work to that bike i have no clue he also made 180+ hp running Nuntec fuel

His shop is about 35-40 minutes from my house. I just rode it down.

Johnny cheze wiz also builds some pretty strong bikes if you're down his way. Bob knows about him, and mentioned something about some pretty quick bike comin' outta his stable.
