Busa's in the Twisties...

We've done this thread before, but I never tire of looking at the pics, even the same ones over again.

This time, I'm just gonna post vids. :cheerleader:

I chased 15 Hayabusas from Boulder City to Overton turnoff along with 15 other sportbikes, and to be perfectly honest, that was the most exhilarating half an hour I've EVER ridden....anyone remember that run ????......... :oldcool: Ummm.....errrrrr...uhhhh...just for the record, that road is anything but straight, and that run by car, normally takes an hour and twenty minutes.....Good Lord that was good..... :super:

Busa can outperform me by at least 70 %

But I have seen more skilled riders smoke 1K an even the 750 through some tight twisties. I have a hard enough time just keeping the front end on the ground in a straight line. Depending on your skill lvl should decide where you are at with your friends in the turns. As much as it sucks to be last in the twisties it's worse to try an stay up front an ride above your skill lvl an get hurt or worse one of your friends behind you gets to try an dodge you and your bike laying or laid out in the road. One thing that you will always be on your Busa is more comfortable, when we go on those 4 an 5 hr rides they are all ready to call someone to pic up them an their bikes an I am still sitting on the Busa  them an their whining an complaing about their backs and their knees....
I've done rides close to 16 hous (800+miles) and still smiling at the end of each ride. I'm 6 ft. tall, 42 years old. I did 800+ miles on an R1 3 years ago and the Busa is a lot more comfortable.

99.9% of the people that own Busa's will ever ride their bike to its full potential.

What an excellent thread. Not one person telling him he has to mod the bike to the moon to get it to handle like an R1! Rider confidence is the key. Everyone has to find what makes them most comfortable. If that takes mods to get you comfy, there are plenty to choose from. But never ever ever go out riding with a bunch of go fast guys (no matter what bike you are on) and try like crazy to keep up or impress them. You will be miserable... at best.

If you are a realist, the Hayabusa is perhaps the most sensible bike you could ever buy. As you can tell by this forum it can be tailored to almost any Moto fantasy object imaginable short of a dirt bike. :beerchug:

You guys have definitely convinced me that the Busa can corner. Some great riders on this board too. Keep the video coming. I'm loving through you at the moment
