Yeah the Gen3 should have had a 1500cc at least, even an 1800 like the cruisers.Should we feel ripped off that the 2022 ZX-14 is $4000 cheaper (Canadian) than the Gen3 Hayabusa and comes with a 1441cc engine already?
I'd feel pretty stupid honestly lol. The zx14 is a better bike anyway. Only thing that's cool about the gen3 is the cruise controlShould we feel ripped off that the 2022 ZX-14 is $4000 cheaper (Canadian) than the Gen3 Hayabusa and comes with a 1441cc engine already?
I don't know if I'd go the route of saying it's a better bike....I'd feel pretty stupid honestly lol. The zx14 is a better bike anyway. Only thing that's cool about the gen3 is the cruise control
absolutely..!!.In India zx14 is long gone.atleast we have Busa.Be happy we have the Busa at all since bikes are being killed left and right. GSXR1000R is done and many more to follow. 14R is dead many places, surprised the EPA is even letting them sell it in the USA.
Chris Moore has this to say on the subject-of course it is a Gen 2 Busa not Gen 3....the Gen 3 would make the difference if he had it to test against the ZX14R, the only takeaway is what he says about the engine as the Gen 3 still uses the same basic engine. And I doudbt if 1441 ia as RELIABLE a engine as busa's 1340.And if it was then it should have ruled the drag tracks as busa has done consistently year on year till date.
Only thing the booza has over the zx14 is aftermarket support and easier to bore it out due to the cylinders. Zx14 is a better street bike. And for the masses that are not gonna go into their engine and just do the basic bolt on parts the zx14 is far better IMOI don't know if I'd go the route of saying it's a better bike....
The gen 3 Hayabusa is pretty stout like all the other generations....it would have been nice if Suzuki bumped up the displacement but even that wouldn't have put it back on the pedestal for street domination.
Just because this is a Hayabusa site, we can be open minded.Only thing the booza has over the zx14 is aftermarket support and easier to bore it out due to the cylinders. Zx14 is a better street bike. I’m assuming you’re referring to the gen3The Busa is markedly more flickable. Feels sportier. And is.
I've owned 3 zx14 two gen 1 and one gen2 right at 60k miles combined between them. I also bought my gen2 Hayabusa in 2010 it still has 4500 miles on it because of how bad of a bike it is/was. But it has the best aftermarket for going really fast so that's why I kept it. Riding a zx14 is just better in everyway and if you don't agree you are just lying and that's ok too lol.Just because this is a Hayabusa site, we can be open minded.
I can agree to disagree, even though Chris Moore tends to agree with you (prior to the gen 3 coming out-I wonder how he feels now)
Now that the gen 3 has come along there are a few things the Hayabusa has over the ZX14R.
1) there still is a Hayabusa on the marketplace unlike the ZX14R
2) ease of maintenance which is important to every day riders like me.
3) with the introduction of the gen 3, the electronic suite is far superior to the ZX14R and it has cruise and a factory QS....pretty hard to beat that.

They are both very quick with bolt on mid to high 8s each with very little done to them and that's honestly faster then 99% of riders should be going anyway lol
Hayabusa has a cool name and a reputation, and that's what sells the bike now a days IMO
