Concealed carry on your bike

I don't like open carry; brings on waaay too much attention that I don't care for.

Yep... I usually wear a t-shirt with a button-down (unbuttoned) shirt over it. I carry open on the belt, but hidden under the button-down shirt.

That way you can't see the gun very well unless you're really checking me out, but it's still easily accessible.

The Bianchi Carrylok has been my primary holster for several years now.

Arizona is an open carry state, meaning I can carry it on my hip if I soo choose. I used to be (until last year) that yiou had to take a class to get your CCW and you could conseal. The law has now changed and anyone can conseal as long as the weapon in registered to them. This is why I moved from Maryland.

I have yet to... We had that"soccer mom" carry to a game of her childs last year... Everyone flipped out... She lost her job as a teacher... Sheriff took her ccw... Judge gave it back lots of bull.. It is intresting the places you want to most protect at are where its forbidden... And all the mass shootings are takeing place at.... Intresting eh?

Just out of curiosity, has anyone thought about carrying a light weight revolver?? There are some SWEET 45 ACPs out there. I'm a chick and I carry either a Combat Commander or a 45 revolver (only when riding on the mainland) but and in Alaska you can pretty much carry open or concealed but you can't carry into banks, bars, school zones, or court houses. As long as you don't get stupid, the cops usually have a pretty good attitude. The Benelli M3 was just too bulky

Rio

Rio, that's a good question. A great revolver for "athletic use" (motorcycles, bicycles, hiking, atv's, snowmobiles, etc.) is an S&W .38 Airweight. The weapon is a 5 shot and, in a zip padded bag it fits next to two speedy loaders. 38 Plus P loads are perfect and the whole package is incredibly light.
With a short barrel, however, it's important to do much practice in accuracy, reloading (with speedys) and accessing the piece quickly.
Most people don't realize how potent a revolver (with a competent operator) actually is! Raydog

Free-fire Zones... These are places where, if the good guys follow the letter of the law, nobody has guns but the bad guys.

Sometimes people agree to disagree with the laws related to where you're allowed to carry. At their own legal risk, they do what they think is best for the protection of themselves, their loved ones, and the innocent potential victims around them.

Ruger LCP .380... Just toss it in a pocket...jacket pocket or pants, it's that small, cost you about 300 bux. If you decide against that idea, I like small of the back, under your jacket or a really long shirt. Problem with small of the back is when riding our shirts can blow up in the wind and expose the gun (felony brandishing) if not wearing a jacket. Typically if you're gonna need to use it, you'll be off the bike pumpin gas, or someplace parked hangin out. I say this because I assume you aren't gonna road rage while riding, nor pull a drive by on a busa...so it doesn't necessarily need to be accessible while on the bike, but just mainly so you don't get robbed while pumpin gas and such. That's really my only concern. I figure we ride expensive machines that are easily sellable on the black market and highly desired but not easily afforded. Sooo, I figure carrying is cheaper than full coverage insurance, at least in my case!

Check out Fobus paddle holsters too. Very comfortable imo.

I'd rather be judged by 12...then carried by 6!:beerchug:

2nd pic is actually a Kel-Tec inside a fobus paddle, but same exact design as the ruger. Actually I'm pretty sure ruger bit iff of the design after the patent expired...but you get the idea.
3rd pic is a Sig P238...one of my favorites but a couple hundred more expensive and heavier. But, same idea as the other "mouse" guns or ccw guns.

I also have the Ruger Lcp and it's super small so I always conceal it in my front pocket . You'll never know it was there. I purchased the belt clip that kel-tec makes for their 380 and when it's in my front pocket it just looks like a small pocket knife.

I agree. Taking out a local gradeschool is the terrorists holy grail. The last ones that did that were the Chechens in Russia and buddy they paid for it dearly, that that doesn't stop the sheer horror that incident created (which was the terrorists ultimate goal). So far, nobody's been willing to take that shot here in the US. But I fear it may eventually happen. Makes me want to carry at every school event, but that becomes a conundrum. All I know is if hell breaks loose at my daughters school, I'm coming running with everything i've got and just hope the police recognize i'm one of the good guys and don't shoot me instead of the bad guys. Chance I'm willing to take.

Im a philadelphia officer and we have some active shooter training here. We are no longer allowed to stay outside and secure a perimeter and wait for the heavy guns. First four officers on scene are to head in no matter what and bypass everything and everyone till the threat is reached and eliminated... But knowing the truth of our nature as philly cops that school or business will be flooded with so many cops itll be intense. I pray every day that does not happen in my district talk about difficult situation especialy when all we are armed with is glock 17's vs. The completely unknown! The thought alone is scary but thats what we get the crappy pay for

I carry everywhere i go even church, funerals, weddings you name it ill be armed:laugh: you just never know you can never be over prepared just underprepared!!!

Still trying to construct a device that will allow me to carry into swimming pools and the beach  jk.... Or am i?

How did they know she was carrying?

Thank you for your service. I think standing outside waiting for backup just means it gives the bad guys longer to commit carnage. I think it puts your life in more danger, but any father would willingly do the same. None of that "sit quietly and nobody get's hurt" is ever gonna work again after United flight 93; First guy shows trouble and the entire planeload is coming down on him...

Want to ask you a question then: What does your training say about civilian CCW holders, in the heat of the battle, also helping? I suspect I know what the official response is, but would like to hear your take on it. I live in a small town, there are 3 police officers total only one on duty at a time; if someone hit our school he'd need all the help he could get. He'd have to shoot me to keep me from helping him.

I was a Cavalry Officer in the Army; we don't run, we ride to the sound of gunfire
