Custom Exhaust Installed

Did you get those from this guy:

I don't think they would look that bad if the were aligned and slash cut. Sounds like a beast. Hey, when the wife takes your credit card, what are ya gonna do?

Sorry Dude, but why would you mess up a Busa like that!!!! Now I see why the R77 are so expensive, because you get what you pay for!!!

Cut him a break. It may not be the most prudent modification, but if it makes him happy, so be it. After all it's his bike.

I'll give him credit for taking it upon himself to turn a wrench himself.

The dude's obviously proud of what he did, and wanted to share his accomplishment. Some of you had to stomp his ego into the ground. That's just wrong.

Having said that: DUDE! You got the world's fastest, and most amazing machine on the street. You just lost a bunch of horsepower that you paid good money for. Take a moment, and rethink your customizing strategy.

Don't let all the haters get ya down. They look pretty nice from the side view. Just need to tuck them in a bit more.

I got flamed pretty bad for my cherry bomb exhaust too. I love the look, and sound of my bike and that's all that matters. The shop I took it to asked me what kind of exhaust it was. Said it was the best exhaust note he's heard yet.

So back down haters.

It all goes back to what everyone was saying in the thread a few day's back, when the discussion was about making your own exhaust.

Bottom line is, if you like it that is all that matters, BUT, you are fogetting about tone. Eddie, Jimmi, Brian May are/were masters of it, it's the same with pipes.

I'm sure there are people that think plugging your guitar into a $80.00 solid state amp sounds just as good as plugging your guitar into a $1,500.00 Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier.

It's the same concept.

If you are happy.. Cool, but on the other hand don't expect people to say "aww man I just wasted $700.00 on my exhaust" either.

Dang. You guys are being a little harsh. Atleast thrw a

My opinion is the work looks good and it sounds great. It looks too small in proportion for the bike though. I think it would look better shorter and fatter. Just my

Ditto!

I don't understand the flaming either especially when the next guy posts pics of threads sticking out of his back tire and asks "Do I need to look for a new rear?" and the replies are, try this tire or try that tire when what really should be said is get an education on tire maintenance.

Agree, may not be the look I like but then again it did not cost him a $grand$ either. I think they would look better, shorter, in closer to the bike, and fatter, but that is my preference not his. He likes it and that is what matters.

There seems to always be plenty of unsolicited 'advice' around here and some of it can be quite hurtful. I didn't read where he asked for any 'advice'. IMO, they sound ok in that clip but I don't like the skinny pipe look.
