That term was used by another member first therefore my use of it to illustrate a point.

WOW.... I've been visiting this thread and started typing my thoughts many times.... but ended up highlighting it all and hitting the delete button again and again.

If we did what Mexico has been doing for decades.... we the USA would not have such a problem.

If you are from some country south of Mexico and travel north looking for a better life. Don't look to Mexico because they will rarely hire a non-mexican. Mexico discriminates like you wouldn't believe. Just like Cubans do in Miami... not cuban oh then... "we'll call you" ...

If the Americans would quit hiring illegals for cheap labor.... then this problem we have....would only improve.

Don't blame the immigrants ... they are mostly good hard working people looking for a better life. They have done alot for this country and continue to do so. The blame for this giant problem should be placed elsewhere.

And Gunny only backs up my point, if we try to use the army or national guard it will cost more money, same with mines and razor wire. Add to that fact greedy people can be bought off and lthe ocation of mines can be found out. A truck load of half drunk armed rednecks looking for target practice would be hard to bribe, and their location will vary. And as I said they are free to the tax payer. I know it would never happen but still a good idea, a few would die but probally less than what die from heat stroke trying to cross now. People are willing to risk the elements and nature, but few are going to risk flying bullets.



And on my last thought the hell with the US Army, they got good equipment but lack the motivation to get a job done right!!  If it absolutly positivly has to be destroyed over night, call the MARINES!!!!

Let's see those statistics that confirm your statement of Most illegal mexicans become hard criminals. Don't have any, ah yeah I thought so..

The violently territorial latino gangs are not formed by illegal mexican immigrants. They are actually a newer breed, and are called MARA Salvatrucha. These guys come from Central American countries such as El Salvador, Nicaragua and others in the region. Many are former child soldiers that were educated very similarly to the (cambodian/communist) KMHER Rouge in their value for human life. Therefore, commiting murder is like a walk in the park to them because they were wasting people as soon as they could carry and fire an AK-47. So with that type of education breaking into cars is small time and more so they diversify into other criminal enterprise such as the distribution of street drugs which leads to territorial conflicts.
So how many of your buddies are at the unemployment office because they lost their job picking produce, washing dishes, bussing tables or working construction to a better qualified illegal worker?
If Mexico was invaded around 150 years ago by the United States and it's Northern lands stolen for the sake of the gold rush, then wouldn't you say today's situation is interesting reciprocity?

I see that you have put a lot of thought into the possibilties. I would put that plan into use if I had a people as motivated as Hamas Palestinians across the Rio Grande but the immigrants from the south are coming for work and a better way of life. They are not crossing illegaly to blow themselves up in buses and cafes. Although, I imagine, you would love to see each one of them explode in a restaurant dishroom or waiting at the local laborpool (you know, where they wait to be picked up for day labor jobs, usually near a hardware store).

The firt and foremost problem is the people doing the hiring, impose huge fines and extended jail time on them and the problem will slow way down. The second step is to secure the borders better to keep anyone from sneaking in reguardless of their intent. But peoples pockets are getting fat off of the situation as it is so nothing gets done about it today. The time will come when it eats away at our nation so bad it will have to be addressed.

My statement, makes perfect sense, you just need to read it three times and then formulate a reply.
I am simply stating that your brand of extreme measures for prevention of the illegal migration across our southern border is not warranted based on the effects of such migration. Installing landmines and guarding it with deadly force is something more justified when you have suicide bombers coming across instead of people simply looking for work.
Your attempts at putting words in my mouth are just not gonna work. I do not condone "real crime" such as shoplifting or auto theft, so don´t try to imply that I do.
Oh, and to re-iterate my earlier point, small business drives the economy more than elected officials do. If small and medium businesses start getting shut down extensively for hiring undoc´d workers the economy will suffer. The number one concern of all politicians is to keep businesses in operation because if they don´t do so the effects will reach deep into the coffers of their district of responsibility. Thus resulting in less money for government operations, payrolls, public works and the beat goes on... Understand it, and you ought to just have a beer to help you just accept it. Heck,
