Did oil change now it wont start...smh!!

Remove the plugs, they will be fuel fouled and not sparking.
Blow them dry with compressed air, plug them into the coils and check them for spark, refit them, it will start.
someone said check plugs was having brain fart...knew it wasn't sparking but didnt think about them...tripping over oil change.. brought new plugs will drop them in when i get back home... as always thanks Kiwi!!

I know my bike...an know a tool too but im not perfect...that's why I love this board.. always get great advice that works, ideas an help problem solving..when I get back home will drop them in and send a vid of the outcome..

Just a tip, whenever you start your bike from cold, always let it run for at least a few minutes, preferably longer, just to get some heat into the combustion chambers.
If you shut it off too soon ( for instance 30 seconds or less) you risk fuel fouling the plugs and they will have trouble sparking across the electrodes, with all the current shorting to ground by running down the wet carbon on the porcelain insulator.
So always warm it up before shutting it down.
Saves a lot of hassle!

Ive hit the starter to make so mostly all of the oil out of the bike... 5th bike same process never a problem. BUUUUUTTTT THATS WHY I Post... no spark check plugs.. thank for that....and I usually use both stands but only used 1 so bike was tilted forward... an tried to start it like that...
When you cranked it with the starter to eject the little remaining oil, that is when the plugs are most likely to foul. Fuel goes in but doesn’t get a chance to ignite, builds up on the electrode’s insulator and energy (spark) shorts to ground instead of jumping the gap and sparking.

An that is just what I did wrong.. thanks for the tip..

Nice congrats is that a V strop ?
Affirmative

I've never ridden anything like it in my life. I have to slip to one side to get a foot down but easier to pilot up on the pegs and more room for travel gear. Still getting used to it. Did my research, the V-Strom is a road bike you can take on the trail, as opposed to MOST of the other ADV entries, which are setup the other way around

You will enjoy it . I wouldn't be surprised if the bird gets a little less miles now ;)

@Krudd93 Sorry I didn't read every last comment but sounds like you turned the motor over a few times to empty as much of the old oil out as possible? I removed the oil pressure switch from my ZX-14 which drains all the oil going up to the top of the engine. I was advised it's not a really good thing to do if you can avoid it. There is supposed to be oil waiting there when you start the engine. If it's a brand new engine, they would prime the oil pump by turning it with a drill to get that pre-start oil circulated throughout the motor. Turning the motor over with an empty oil pan would achieve the same effect as draining the oil from the main oil passage. No big deal on a motor that has been run because you have some oil on the parts but it will run a couple seconds longer without circulated lubrication if you drain more oil than runs back to the pan. I used to leave my bikes sit overnight to let as much oil run down to the pan as possible. I don't even do that anymore because there's a delay in oil pressure from the new filter. It's not possible to really pre-fill the filter with oil especially on the busa, most of it will spill out before you get the filter on. Just some thoughts on oil changes and attempting to get as much old oil out as possible. I think it's better to leave the residual in there. If you really need clean oil like for longterm storage, maybe just run the motor a minute, dump the fresh oil and pour another batch of fresh oil in there. That's about as clean as you can get it. I've done that. I used cheap oil but it had to be very clean. I just replaced it with good oil when I took the bike out of storage.

Turning a motor over to get that last drop out is ridiculous overkill.
Whats next, pull the lid so you can mop up whats sits in by the cams?
Pull the stator cover, cause that always holds a teaspoons worth?
Same with clutch cover.Same with....
I know,I know always had great success with this method.
Why would anybody want to run/turn over any motor in an' "oil starved" state for even 5 seconds.
Rubb.

O well. if even one person reads my krap words and skips on the idea of cranking a motor over without oil then thats a good thing.
Every one else can be all nice...thats great. I didn't spend any time on the issue,my bad.
It wasn't the first time my approach to things was not liked on here in close to 20 years.Won't be the last. I've had people threaten to climb on planes and come and kill me.
I'm that popular. O well.
Rubb.
