I hate to seem so hateful due to injuries but everyone needs to grow up and open there eyes and take on their own responsiblity and stop pointing fingers.
Advance riding has nothing to do with how fast you can run a corner.But ride the conditions of the roads,whatever they maybe.And running flatout with a passanger OR running full lean through a blind corner is stupid.You never know what will be waiting for you around that blind corner.Your taking your life in your own hands and no one elses.
There was 2 wrongs on that road that day not one.[that was caught]Everybody needs to loose the damn EGO's.The only person that deserves an apology is Naomi.

Regardless of speed, everyone else, including myself, was riding WITHIN their limits. Many told me DO3 was riding over his head, out of control, etc....two-up no less. I've said many times that we are all aware D03 never had intentions of causing the accident, but it was his irresponsible decision to ride in such a manner (out of control, showing off, etc.) that was the end result in causing the accident.
Gravel was BS excuse, looked for it...nothing more than a few pebbles on the double yellow no less. My problem hasn't been the fact that it happened as much as 'accountability' on D03's end. To see D03 complain about his insurance rates while Jimmy is supporting his family on a 1/3 of his income sickens me.
Jimmy is a good rider. Those who have seen me ride know I ride at a good pace but well within my control (27 years experience, never wrecked) and I road with Jimmy for two years prior to this incident. He is one of very few I feel comfortable riding with at my level. RacerV is the best witness to all this, as he was behind Jimmy, and I have spoken with him and he understands where my point of view is on this.
I believe Jimmy will be sticking around, but to say Jimmy is at fault because someone else in the group made the conscious decision to ride beyond their skill level (two up!) is ludicrous.

As I remember reading the original thread on this crash, the second rider ran over the female passenger? Someone please correct me if I am wrong?
In my view, to run over a fallen rider in front of you is unexcuseable! And then to blame it on the fallen rider? Unbelieveable!
I've had a number of riders fall in front of me and never run over one. I school everyone on rides, if you are going to ride up tight on your buddies arse, tuck your front tire up on the inside as you enter the corner so if he goes down you DON'T run over him.
And, you never, ever, ever charge through a blind corner so out of control you can't save your butt if things go wrong!

I have some idea of what your are facing.
Please tell us, to make us all more aware...
I hope the prognosis for your to return to walking and working again is positive?
The following are things that I ascribe to in myself, and hope for in the persons with whom I associate.
I believe in personal accountability for myself.
If and when a lapse in my judgement causes a person harm or loss in any way, I speak up as soon as possible and own accountabilty for the results of my actions.
I could not look myself in the mirror if I did not.
I would not ask another human being to honor me with respect, if I did not.
Conversely, I suffer no fools quietly, and expect no one else to, either.
I am hoping with every cell in my body that you and your life are restored to your previous state in every possible way.

All I can say is that I was reading the post as all of this happened earlier in the year. I felt bad for all involved. The one for wrecking and the second for being unable to miss it all. For me to know that I caused a wreck that caused others to be injured or to be invlolved in a wreck where I hit a downed rider would cause me great greif. I have a huge heart and have compassion for other peoples pain and am also a very forgiving person but as I read this thread to see people jacking their jaws about things that dont concern them kinda pisses me off. This thread wasnt intended to get everyones opinion about what they thought Diesel's remarks. He simply had something he felt he needed to say. Thats it..I guess this is America and everyone has the right to say what they want they just need some common sense as when would be the appropriate time to use said right. This obviously wasnt the time.

Diesel, whine all you like about someone else being responsible for your crash, there is no excuse for running over someone who crashes in front of you! NONE!
You are right, I have crashed so many times I have invented ways of crashing but I have NEVER ran over anyone or caused anyone else to crash.
At least I'm man enough to admit every crash I have ever encountered was my own fault.
Man up and at least offer the poor guy an appology as well as the victim whom you ran over.

I have compassion for the injured. Believe me, I feel bad for Diesel being banged up. But the person I really have compassion for is the poor woman Diesel ran over.
If I am unfortunate enough to run over some poor bloke on the street you can bet your last dollar I won't be whining and placing the blame on the guy who fell.

Unfortunately when someone slides in front of your front tire its somewhat impossible to avoid them, even moto gp racers have this happen. I think Diesel is trying to voice his side of things as there have been stories that have floated around the site about the wreck and the apparent lack of remorse or apology from the other party that low sided across his nose.
Having seen the wreck moments after it happened, hearing all the various reports from those that were immediately involved at the time, it sounded like Diesel really had no way to avoid hitting anything/anyone. Should the wreck have occurred, no and there probably are lessons for everyone to learn from this accident. Fact is that it did happen and now both parties, concerned folks and everyone else has chimed in on it.
this is naomi...i don't have my own account here and i'm not sure if i'm even allowed to be doing this, but there has been so much uproar about a wreck that could have killed three people. i don't know but a few of you and i appreciate the times when i'm told you all are praying for me. i don't know jimmy, but i do know he has a wife and children.....i only have my daughter. i am a single mother of a seven year old little girl..and i have been out of work ever since the wreck also, but i am not b******g about not having money to pay my bills or feed my child. AT least we ARE ALIVE!!!!!!!! i had a collapsed lung, 4 broken ribs, and a lascerated spleen...that's right not just broken bones, but internal bleeding and almost had to go on ventilator because my lung would not re-inflate...also had 2 chest tubes in me, one of which wasn't deep enough to drain the blood that was crushing my lungl...i also developed a pulmonary embolism in my lung.
while everyone wants to talk crap about apologies....i NEVER heard one!!!!! come back with smart arse comments if you all want, but i don't care. thankyou to the ones who feel i was the only victim, but you are wrong..we all were, but at least I had no control over any part of it. many people have went down, died, or been badly injured, but my god i don't hear everyone on here months later attacking people. a real friend or comrad...whatever you call yourselves would say " let's just be glad you are here and you not stress about everything else". everyone feels the need to be angry at someone in moments like these, but it is the adult, mature ones that keep their mouths shut and opinions to themselves for the sake of argument. you all can speculate what happened but it will not change the fact that we all went down that day.... by the way do3 did get a ticket. i rode back up there with him for court!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you don't believe it, look it up and if you are too SORRY to look it up to prove otherwise, then keep your mouth shut!!! guess i'm being a little childish by ranting on my behalf, but someone has to defend me!!!! only thing is i fight my own battles and don't let others do it for me
