If so what kind?

Personally, I tend not to bother but occasionally I'll put on some trance - just because it's calming and pumps you up at the same time. Can't ride to metal, live and breathe metal but riding to it is ****e!

well... I see this poll is split right down the middle :thumbsup:

About the only time I tried listenin to tunes was on my ride to Mexico, but the tunes lasted about an hours and that was it. I put the I pod back in the trailer and never used it again.
In my truck however, never do I drive without tunes.

cheers

If you consider the sweet sound of an Alien Head singing music than yes but otherwise no .
Have always liked to hear the bike as well as what's going on around me.
Too much stuff going on around me in SoFla to close out the sounds with music .

Always ride with tunes, got the ipod going bluetooth to the chatterbox works awesome:thumbsup:

When I am running in a group as sweep I do. When I go by myself or with a couple of friends no as I am more concerned with not stuffing somebody.

i couldn't vote...there was no circle to dot for "Depends".

if i'm off on my own in the middle of nowhere for a clear my head ride?...yep...i'll don some plugs and dig some tunes but...

if i'm tool'in 'round town or do'in some serious riding with my sportbike crew buds?...nope...no way...i wanna hear everything going on both under me and around me...and the sony mp3 stays home.

so there's my answer: "DEPENDS"

+1 for me. Usually not tho.

I have a Garmin Zumo 550 GPS, that has an MP3 player built-in (8gb). I mostly listen to Christian Music. A few times I played Metal and got a speeding ticket.(95 in a 65)

depends is my answer but if I do it's rare I like to hear what's around me and not hearing could be dangerous so mostly no but on very (and I mean very) rare occasion yes.

once in a while when i do a slow ride through the city....open highway i dont...but i do through my chatterbox and the way the ear pieces are you still can hear outside noises

Before the pipes, every ride I had music, now with the full muzzy most of the time the sound at 80 mph is music enough for me

usualy not on my commute to work.. not worth it for the 10 minutes. but if im out for a ride or goin back and forth from okc to dallas, then i have to have. and i listen to everthing from sick puppies to black eyed peas

I have a little bit of EVERYTHING on my Ipod. From classics (Greensleeves, Bach, ect..) to country (Hank SR to Jason Aldean) to Rap (Ice Cube, Easy-E ect..) to Rock (Anthrax to ZZ Top). It is on shuffle so I never know what is going to be next. Chatterbox headphones fit nicely over ear plugs. Music is just loud enough I can hear it.

Classical when spankin the twisties. On a long ride somewhere, I tend to go with something more along the lines of Dropkick Murphys or some Iron Maiden.
