Hells bells, it's tough enough for me to keep it between the ditches without distraction, much less listening to ZZ Top!

Keith Code had it pretty much figured out in his "Twist of the Wrist" dvd/book. He says one only has so much attention to use. He used a ten dollar bill to demonstrate. If you use two dollars of attention listening to music, that leaves you only eight dollars to spend on riding.

Personally, I never listen to tunes while riding. I've watched more than one guy crash in corners while listening to music. Who knows if the music had them distracted to the point of loosing thier reference points but I do believe it was a contributing factor.

However, if you are going to ride agressively, you'd probably be doing yourself a favor by turning the music, phone, intercom etc. off!

No, I can't do it I have to hear what's going on around me, music makes me what to go faster and do more stupid things on the road but thats just me..LOL

Not me, I ride off the motor too much to listen to music...I'd probably hit the limiter a couple times till I got used to the music in my ears~!~

PS: My wife rides off the motor also...the first thing she wants me to change on any new bike is the exhaust so she can tell what's going on with the motor...smart woman~!~

When I ride over an hour I use headphones.

Who's got the best set of headphones?

I do, but low enough to hear cars and such. Skull candy buds work well and there cheap.

Bingo! And the only time I listen is on the highway, never in the city.

For earphones I use SHURE (SE something or another, about $200) earphones. My next set will be the custom fitted ones.

I tried once, on a road trip. I could have turned the tunes up loud enough to hear over the road/wind noise, but that would have been way too loud. Next stop I put the earbuds away and put the ear plugs back in.

I love listening to music when I ride. I listen to mainly rap, r&b, some country, and some of the lighter metal music.

i listen to music on the streets... but I only have one ear bud in at a time, that way I can still hear what is going on around me, and the sweet sound of the bike

Not on the bikes. In the car yes.I like to hear the sound of the bikes and be aware of whats around me, dont need extra distractions. Its dangeruos enough out there.
