Having wheels chromed now for 500 a set and that includes sprocket carrier...three weeks delivery.......I HOPE. Same will polish arm and frame for 250.

Just put a set of D207-GP's on my Red/Black Busa and at the same had the wheels polished. Finished putting them on at 5.00p.m. and it looked awesome with the polished wheels. As I was riding out from my house it was all I was thinking about. I even forgot about prepsoling the wax off my new tires. Well, you have probably guessed what happened next, first corner, handful of throttle and lowsided the damn thing at 20kmh.

Before you say inexperienced etc. etc., I have been riding for 12 years, owned 16 bikes and am a motorcycle mechanic. I will put this experience down to lack of concentration.

Well I hope that you didn't do too much damage to yourself or the bike. After you dust yourself off let us know how the 207's work on the Busa. Also, I've heard rumors that 207's are becoming scarce. Did you have any problem finding them?

did you polish the entire wheel or just the flat part of the rim. I saw a Copper Busa at the Loudon races last weekend, this guy owned a polishing shop. He polished almost every aluminum surface then he powder coated it a funky copper color, Yuck ( beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but a skunk is a skunk)
The wheels alone would of been enough. Can you send pictures of your bike, as this site doesnot post pictures.

As far as D207GP's go, attend a AMA roadrace you can buy take offs from the racers for about $25-$50 a piece. Depending on your bargaining skills, some of these tires only see practice or qualifying. This way you can smoke off you bt56's and have a ready replacement for cheap.

Best of luck with your bike!

If you want to post the photos for all to see post them on the onelist.com Hayabusa mailing list. There is a place where you can upload pics directly.
