Busas work fine at Barber, one just has to know the bike's and the rider's limits.
I started there in a track class and then ran Novice (half a day of 'parade laps' with a coach watching most of the time). Did Intermediate last weekend and did feel the front sliding here and there as I was trying to out run my buds.
Best advice I can give a newcomer taking a 530lb bike to a road course is:
1. Start SLOW - tires wont warm up for 3 laps (at Barber)
2. Use a coach, get someone to watch you run and get some feedback! I have never encountered a good rider who did not enjoy the opportunity to tell me how bad or well I was riding!
3. Use the whole track - Busas like lots of room!
Glad your ok but dont lose the spirit man, harness that enthusiasm and you'll rock!
