Ebay scammer???

He re-listed the bike and said it has been re-listed due to a dead beat bidder. This guy is a scum bag. I'd e-mail ebay and tell them of your experience with this seller. They probably won't do anything but they may keep an eye for similar complaints. Definatly call AMEX. I recently bought my '02 with 4900 miles, not a scratch, adult owned, Yosh exhaust, K&N filter, carbon fiber front fender, bike cover, 2 Suzuki stands, Shoei Hayabusa helmet and got all of it for $7000. You can find 'em if you look. There are a couple of publications in my region. Cycketrader & Bargain News. I used to check them out all the time. I ended up calling the guy for my bike from a 1 line ad - no picture. I called and he said it's mint condition - come on down. Iwas thinking the entire time that it was probably bs. It was a 40 mile ride but when I got there I instantly gave him a deposit and got the bike the following Tuesday. Good luck

NYChris, You need to look at Ebay to see if he left you feedback - don't let your EBay rating get marred because of this guy, or at least respond to his comments if he left any!

Nothing to seen in this post.

I just checked the relisting. He mentioned the scratches this time and also a dent in the gas tank which I STILL didn't know about. He never told me, I can only imagine what else is wrong. He didn't say anything about the broken clutch or the liens on the title, or the fact that his name isn't even on the title since he never registered or insured the bike! What a scum bag. If this guy gives me negative feedback, he's in for a surprise! I'll answer the feedback with a website that I'll set up just for this explaining the entire situation with the damage pics and also the voicemails he left me for everyone to listen to. I'll list my email address and home phone number for anyone to call me to take about what a jackass this guy is. I might do it anyway, I don't let things go when people try to screw me.

He hasn't refunded my money yet. If its not done by the end of the day, I'm going to give him until the close of business tomorrow before I call the cops on his ass.

IMO you should wait to post anything on-line about this guy until you get a refund. Call the cops & your CC company but I'd lay off the web for now. He may rake you over the coals just to be a d*ck.

I was just looking at the auction again and noticed something (see attachment)

I would never make a big purchase on ebay. You should check the local paper or cycletrader.com and you can surely find a better used busa for a better price. And if you ever decide to buy new, call every dealer within 100 miles and get quotes to use to make the dealers drop their prices. I got my 06 blk/gry for 10,200 out the door... and that's a pretty good deal right there because I called around. I probably could have gotten a better deal than that if I didn't absolutely have to have my blk/gry.... because I wouldn't settle for any other color.
I have sold bikes on ebay b4...BUT,
I ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS give very detailed pics and descriptions and offer more pics if neccesary...I also have a policy of 10% deposit....that is refundable if buyer has legitmate reason for not buying...i/e wasnt what was offered, or not as described....Thats just good bussiness practice.
I sold My '05 DL1000 last December to a man in Ft.Worth, Texas and it went like a deal should go...Hell, I even delivered the bike in my trailer and hooked trailer and all to his truck....He returned my trailer back to my hometown on his way through to relatives home for Christmas a week later.
You can usually tell by talking to somebody personally wether or not the seem honest...BUT you have to talk to them in person.

I posted a link to the auction.  It ended at $6525, but he knocked the price down to $6125 after he told me about the scratches on the phone.

I feel fortunate......Found my bike in the local paper....a few months ago, 05, Red and Black, 4300 miles, one owner, $6250.00

Dunno...but I think I got a steal?

Nice catch jwcfbd. I called PayPay this morning and they said they couldn't do anything about the refund since it was deposited into this account already. She said that he has to send the refund himself. He sent an auction cancellation this afternoon that I signed saying that the transcaction is not going to happen, so he doesn't get hit with fees and I'm not obligated to pay the rest of the money. Its his turn now to refund the $1000 deposit. Man, I wish I could meet this guy in person, he'd be telling a different story after I'm done with him!

after threatening to contact the police, he emailed me this:

"i will be sending you a cashier's check on wed for 1000.00, please confirm the address---greg"

Why is he sending a cashier's check? Why doesnt' he just refund it through PayPal?
