I'd still notify AMEX and file a report. I'd also file a report with eBay explaining the situation. The operative phrase is Cover Your A!
For EVERYBODY that doesn't know this... Paypal's "Guarantee" is worthless. Their "Guarantee ONLY works IF the seller leaves teh money in their Paypal account. Period. At NO other time will they stand behind their "Guarantee" I went round and round with them for a month over $35 and they finally paid because I told them I was gonna call their 800# everyday and get my money one way or another. To the best of my knowledge they have hidden that number even better now because they really DON'T want to be contacted at all!
ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS use a credit card when paying thru Paypal. Visa M/C and Amex will refund your money back to you within 24 hours of filing the dispute. It also costs the person you file the dispute against $35. You shouldn't use the refund until the 30 day investigation is up but the money will be in your posession / not a liability earning interest charges, while they work it out. ALWAYS use a credit card for protection. eBay owns Paypal and they have the same "policies" and "Guarantees"

You're right MoosesBusa, when I called PayPal this morning they said that they can't do anything because the money was deposited into his account already. They told me to ask him to refund it. Some guarantee, huh?
As far as filing the AMEX dispute, for some reason its not showing up on my statement still. Once it appears I'm going to file the dispute.

I have a great idea! I'm going to sign up for a new eBay user tomorrow and buy this dickweeds bike at the Pay it Now price, lol. Then I'll speak with him via email for a few days before I tell him to shove the bike up his ass. I'm going to do this every day after I receive my refund. I'll do my best to ruin all of his auctions. I'll hide my IP addy when I sign up so they can't trace it back to me, lol. He'll know its me, but he'll have no proof.
Pissing off a "criminal" or scumbag isn't a good idea.... especially if you have no legs to stand on. They might want to fvck you over even more.

where do I track it? I tried USPS and there is no record of that package. How would he having a tracking number for a package that isn't going out until tomorrow? Is he f*cking with me?

I don't live in Pathchogue and nothing was left at my door. I live in Bellport, which is the next town over from Patchogue. I'm going to call USPS tomorrow and see whats up.
