ELECTRONIC CRUISE CONTROL FOR BUSA'S

Vacuum.
Just couldn't get the danged thing to engage.
All the trouble shooting tests were good.
Could have been a faulty unit, but I was to pissed to try anything else.

if it does i will post a walk through. it would be cool if it works out.

Be sure to keep us up to date on it.

Has anyone tried using the bike's fast idle lever? It can be adjusted to raise the rpm's above 4k.

i use that right now. works good, but if you hit the brakes it does not turn off. be real carefull.

As much as I would like the electronic one, I am thinking there is no room for error on my busie ...

I think I'll stay with the Throttle Miester.

i like the idea of it... but i think I'll soldier on without one till some idiot (that you suzuki, honda, kawasaki, yamaha) decides to put one on from the factory.

ya know you can ad them to damn near any automobile for about $200 and nobody has a problem.. it ain't that hard folks!

just do it.

or ducati, or bmw or somebody already!

i bet goldwings have it from the factory don't they?

Just picked up the Audiovox CCS-100 at AutoZone for $27.00. They are selling off what they have on the shelves and not getting any more. First come first serve. I got the last one in the store I was at. Don't know when I'm going to get around to installing it.

Yep, Wings have them. Had one installed also on my HD Road King. Worked like a charm. For touring purposes, the only way to fly.

Well, I'm just being hard headed now.
I went back out to start the install again.
Just have to get some things to make the vacuum canister.
Hopefully it will work this time.

had seen a posting on the org on how to make the vacum can try a search. if i find it i will pm you

Just using some PVC pipe and glueing the end caps on it.
Not hard, just hope it works this time.
If it works I'm gonna have to find a resistor to put in the brakelights, since the unit isn't friendly with LED's. Hopefully that was my problem last time.

Yeah, I'm thinking that was my problem before.
I went past them to test and see if it works. Will correct after finding out.
Can't keep them the way it is because the brakes will not shut off the cruise right now, only sudden increase in RPM (pulling in the clutch) or turning the cruise off manually.
Just testing now, but will be done right if my tests work out.
I may even do a write up on the install.

please do the write up if it works. like i say at work we do it right because we do it twice:laugh:
