i have a hmf high mount system ,i was wanting to take the mufflers off and run two polished turn downs ,any feed back on what this will do 2 my engine???

I would imagine with no back pressure at all you would destroy your valves at a minimum.

how can i get some back pressure then . i see all those custom choppers and cruisers with short open pipes whats the difference???

If I understand you right, you just want to remove the cans, keeping the rest of the exhaust system in place? In that case, I don't think you're gonna hurt the engine, but it's probably gonna affect your tuning, for better or for worse. I'll be running a Murray sidewinder, no baffles, but it'll be tuned to produce the powerband useful for 1/4 mile drags. I won't be riding it on the street though...

thanx 4 the input LCW ,im just gonna get a sidewinder system thats all i do is drag race anyway.so the sidewinder system is only 4 the track cuz i like 2 get out and steet race a little 2...

its a really low mounted pipe... runs along the bottom side of the fairing all the way back. Doesn't come up at all. It is NOT for the street. You will scrape the Sh*t outta it when you turn right if you do.

Depends on how low your bike is, but you definitely won't be able to lean much for right turns. Here's a photo of a lowered busa (not mine) with a Murray. Note the hole cut out of the fairing for the pipe to exit. One other thing, you'll have to remove your oil cooler to put one of these types of exhausts on...
