In all honesty, the blame does not lie within a specific political party. I was merely illustrating a point by mentioning the rising price trend that actually started a couple of years before the Republican Administration TOOK the White House. This is not going to sound nice immediately, but the fact is the we the people are at fault as much as the Administration and Domestic Oil Cartels because we just buy into the media and allow the prices to rise. We live in a "democratic" country that still has a system that can be used to the benefit of the citizens. Unchecked, and without backlash is how we have condoned the inflation of the Domestic market. We are the force that can change things.
The Federal Trade Commission's sole duty is to watch out for these abusive practices.
1. We as citizens have the power to change the trend and it starts with a phone call of complaint to the local representative's office.
2. Followed shortly afterwards by a letter of complaint.
3. Then one to the congressman in your district.
4. Then one to the office of both senators in your state.
5. It won't work with a few of us writing one but will work with say maybe just 40 percent of eligible voters because, correct me if I am wrong, but that is approximately the amount of voters that actually turned out for the last election.
In 2000, I voted for GWB because he had what I believed to be a better package for the Nation than Al Gore. I think that its better to have ended the legacy of Saddam Hussein. We created that to thwart the oncoming "Fundamentalist Revolution" in IRAN that has since supplanted the Cold War's threat of worldwide communism. I didn't vote last time around because I wasn't stimulated by either candidate. You remember the choices, the other guy (Kerry) was Jane Fonda's buddy. She was the one that sided with the Viet Cong and made appearances in Vietnam during the war there resulting in the further torture of POW's. This is because they tried to pass her a written message and she just passed it to the military commanders that ran the prison camps. Those POW's were there because of a different objective that had no obvious financial benefit besides that which allowed Defense Industry to flourish. They were there because we "were trying to halt the spread of socialism", it was actually a test-bed for new weapons technology, for refining older outdated concepts and as an easy way to expend the surplus of weapons amassed until then during the cold war.
Back to Kerry, he also had other unfavorable campaign issues that had he been elected would have affected my bottom line. It is all about money after all isn't it.
GWB is merely cleaning up a mess (and getting his friends rich) that was created when Weinberger, Reagan, and Bush Sr were in the White House. He is merely playing the role of the Mob knocking at your door when you take a loan and don't pay, or better yet sleep with one of their wives.
Da man cometh foe payback, ya dig?
Good for us because had we not gone into Iraq, the Russians, French and Germans with their $8 billion investment in Iraq each would have continued to benefit from their relatonship with Hussein.
Yes, I can look at it both ways.
And yes it still is all about the money.
