Funny quote from 10R review article...

Bullett, You have to bring that thing up to the Gap this year when I can get up there. Sounds like an awesome bike!!
I still have my GSXR 1000, so I will bring it and the Busa up. Let me know if ya get any free time this spring. We have a free place to stay just 58 twisty miles from the Dragon.....Dave
Sounds like fun bro. Let's make it happen. I'm getting up there this year, no doubt.

I like this quote from the article.............................

And while that's sinking in, make a mental note to pack an extra Depends.

I've ridden a 10r and it is truly an amazing motorcycle, the only thing i didnt like about it was that it was a little "twitchy" coming hard out of corners. Neverless, it was at the top of my list of bikes to buy. I just preferred the looks and feel of the hayabusa over it, i love to ride and ride hard I will, but i dont want to have to be at full arms at all times just too enjoy.

BTW- I'm a "newbie" to these boards and I truly enjoy having someone like BT around, to me a little conflict of interest is good for all of us. Beside's I believe just the other day he even said himself "I miss my Busa" after sitting on one.

Read my reply to WWJD on being at "full arms" all the time. It's only that way if you friggin' rail everywhere you go. The 10 is docile if you ride it that way and is very enjoyable at a newbie pace. It doesn't complain or snort and growl if I slow down to sweep behind a newbie. It's a pleasure to ride at any pace for me. It's not like commuting to work in a top fuel dragster.
wink.gif

Another thing these new guys forget, or probably never even knew, is the fact that I've done more to busas and have helped more people through pics and stuff than they likely ever will on this site. Even though I don't have a busa at the moment I still post up when someone has trouble and asks for help on a busa problem. When they've put in the time and effort on this site that I have, then I'll give their bitchin' some weight. Until then they're just flies buzzin' around my crap...

And yes I'll have another busa.

Funny article BT. After I test rode the R1, and upon hearing it described as a tamer version of the ZX10, I have an idea of what that bike's about.....
AAAssjani.gif
. It's all about what a person wants in his machine, not comparing to see which is better. The difference being we all have a slighty different definition of "better". It's all about having fun and keeping that smile on our faces. Ride safe, ride fun. To borrow a good quote from my buddy Desmo on the FZ1 forum, "Ride more, worry less".

Well said Red.
beerchug.gif
No worries here. No "comparison" per se either. I do share my impressions of both bikes, and I post about the differences, but not with intentions of convincing anyone that my bike is superior to anyone else's. I'm just sharing my $.02 and my own personal impressions.
wink.gif
And no worries here, bro. It's all good on my end.

Everytime you post something about the 10 makes me want a liter bike!!!!
I would never sell the Busa, well, because its just faster lol. But I have to tell ya I really wouldn't mind riding a 10 to check it out. I rode my buddies GSXR 1000 its a 2003 but didn't get on it. Infact I failed the damn Motorcycle safety course on it!!!!!! Yeah yeah I know I heard it all already. But hey I ace'd the course on the Busa
tounge.gif

Oh and as far as Wiseguy and crazybusa don't mind them they probably don't know you as well as others on the board.
Lol... You sayin' I'd be a good bike mag journalist?

If I could have, I would have kept the busa and added a 10R to the stable, no doubt. If I could afford it right this minute I'd already have a deposit on an '05 LE busa. Hopefully by mid summer I'll be able to afford both. Nothing is guaranteed, but we have some promotions coming up and I stand to get a +/- $10,000/year increase in pay if I make the cut. Wish me luck!

As for the flies, I ain't worried about them.

I think full throttle would loop it, but when you practice proper throttle management you can blast HARD without fear of loopin' it.
That's another reason I love my Busa! I peg the throttle frequently [not in town] and just dont have to worry about loping it. I can work to bring it up, or just feel it pull forward. mmmmm can't wait for summer now!!!
biggrin.gif
Personally, the idea of peggin' the throttle and NOT gettin' scared takes away from a ride for me. I love the adrenaline and rush of havin' too much and havin' to moderate and control it myself. More of a challenge and I'm never left wantin' more. I was ready to turbo or big CC Train already. The speed and power was there, it was simply too tame for my tastes. I feel no need whatsoever to mod the 10 for more power. None...

Also, controlling wheelies via my wrist (and the rear brake) is an acceptable trade off for the fun factor the 10 has for me in the twisties compared to the busa. And no, I'm not saying a busa won't handle in the corners. I'm saying that the 10's size and weight make the twisties more fun for *ME*. I can't compare all out handling differences because Train's suspension wasn't exactly "sorted out". The weight and size differences are clear to all who have seen both bikes though.

Oh, and to heck with waitin' for summer. Just gimme SPRING!

Not that I care really, but why would somebody who sells a Busa for a 10 want to try and convince the rest of us that we drive inferior motorcycles...escpecially on a Busa message board.

I ride a bus and love it and he rides a 10 and I'm sure loves it.  I am by no means laying judgement here...just curious.  I personally would seek out a board (people) with common interests.

Just my lousy $.02
Mind your own business... If you don't like the program change the freakin' channel. Just like cazy, you saw the title and knew it didn't interest you but you feel compelled to click, read, and post up your $.02... but somehow I'm the instigator... Yeah... Get a life and don't worry about what I post. How about that?
Dang man....you seem a little sensitive. I in no way condemned you or spoke negatively in my post. I personally think that 10 is an amazing machine....but in the future I will note that you don't like people that might differ in opinion than you. Ride Safe and thanx for the article for it was a good read.

Well if you read your post you say that he should find a board were people have similar interest. (translation)

Get off the busa site and find a 10 board.

You also say that he's telling us that we drive inferior bikes which is not the case...hes simply giving a subjective view the the charastics of the busa compared to the 10 since he's owned both he should know the differences and similities. So if you would please shhh the man is trying to talk.

Anyone who criticizes someone on this board because they don't have a 'Busa needs to get over themselves.

There are people who post here that don't even own a motorcycle currently. So what?

The reason I'm a regular visitor here is precisely because of the tolerance and open-mindedness extended by the regulars.

This isn't an exclusive club - if you think it should be then go set up your own someplace else - but I for one would not want to be a member.

Yeah, a guy with a handful of posts and NO real input into this forum basically tells me I should find a new place to hang out and I'm "sensitive" when I chop him off at the knees... LOL

I have no problems with differences of opinion. I have a problem with a newbie tellin' me to find somewhere else to play.

yeah, i guess we have so few posts in relation to yours BT because we are out actually RIDING our bikes, rather than sitting on the computer all day long just talking about it....

Ok....ill agree that my post does read different than I intended it too....but please don't label me a newbie. I have been reading this forum for about a year and a half and enjoy it a lot. I just am better at reading and learning than stating my point. Train...trully meant you no disrespect man...keep up the good info.
