Gen 3 arrival in Canada...when?

There used to be a another dealership, Savage Cycles but they no longer carry Suzuki and are now part of Island Motorcycle Co. (BMW). Before the name change and move to the Westshore they were located in Sidney, BC.

That's true. When Savage gave up their Suzuki brand, Alex (the owner) let me pillage his Suzuki stuff... got some great dry-mounted posters, some factory banners and more. He's a great guy.

They had 2, now only 1, and a waitlist. They told me there was only 20 total coming into Canada initially, hopefully you have a deposit on one, or I think it will be a wait for the second batch to come in.
Yes, the dealer has my deposit, and I have a "bill of sale" (minus the VIN). This makes me VERY hopeful that their "July or August" statement was a conservative estimate!

BTW the dealer I am picking this up from is in the Ottawa, ON area.

How did the other generations of Hayabusa sell there in the UK I wonder? Maybe it is costly to insure or just too big to maneuver around the smaller towns?
insurance is dirt cheap mine cost $200 , the roads are awash with Gen1's Gen2's
keeping a busa is london is a no no - why it will get stolen , you can't leave them anywhere unattended

Maybe the cost of the bike is too much to attract people there?

Which is really crazy when you think of current motorcycle offerings. It's still one of the best bargains (IMO the best) going....

What other new model refresh with everything the Busa has to offer (performance, comfort, power, aftermarket support, etc) is cheaper?

Just trying to drill down as to why the bike isn't selling in the UK....

problem with UK , 40 years ago you could pass you test just riding around a block took 5 minutes instructor was on foot.

now if your young you have to pass 3 tests up to 15 hp, then 30 hp before bikes like hayabusa
EU rules now set as UK Law. That becomes very expensive so as we age less new bikers coming through.

big market is still adventure bikes

i think Suzuki GB aimed to convert owners of 1K bikes... on the UK busa site i frequent no one as yet has bought one !!
happy with Gen1, Gen2 or ZX14R

Here in the States, even with rotor locks, and alarms, they can still be dragged into a van and driven off with. Once you slide the van door closed it's "what alarm" ?.

Unless you chain it to something.....you'll lose it, and it's on ebay by dinner time.

In casino garages we usually park underneath the cameras.

No where to open her up with all the cameras and I guess no one wants a rocket ship just to putt around town in 1st gear that would suck...
