,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,584 !!! Australian owners got a letter

When i got INFO , i will edit the list

I've just read something about the recall.....

"Suzuki Motors USA filed a vehicle safety recall with the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for all 2022 through 2024 Hayabusas sold in this country. The issue is a faulty rubber part inside the front brake master cylinder, which "causes an inappropriate reaction to brake fluid."

"This recall involves 100 percent of 2022 through 2024 Hayabusas sold in the US. By Suzuki's account, that's 6,338 total bikes. Affected production dates range from March 26, 2021 through March 29, 2024. Affected VINs range from JS1EJ11B5N7100001 to JS1EJ11B5N7100001, as well as a second range from JS1EJ11D3N7100001 to JS1EJ11D0R7100320. The affected VINs are non-sequential."

Got my recall letter yesterday for MC recall listed above. I have 2022 purchased in California. Already did the other recall. Brakes are fine and strong. I'll bring it in next year riding season. Bummer, we went from 100* to 75* in 2 weeks and it will stay in the mid 70's till winter. I like it between 80 and 90* What happened to the slow decrease in temp?

Right now 70' looks pretty darned good....it was 40' here today...tomorrow it's supposed to go up to 70'......we'll see......

got the letter yesterday how about just mailing be the cover gasket and we will call it good ? its 29 here and im 4 hours from the nearest dealer lol and wtf kind of rubber are they using ? ive got stuff from the 70`s with no rubber/brake fluid interaction ??

I received the recall letter for my 2024 about three weeks ago. I can’t believe they didn’t fix the problem at the factory on the new model year having known about the issue for so long.

I looked online for recalls here in Ontario, Canada and yup says it's "outstanding"....................my 2024 Anniversary edition need the recall too

I picked up my brand new white/blue Hayabusa yesterday. The dealer had held the bike for a few days waiting for the part to complete the recall before letting me ride away on it. Front brakes feel just as good as my RCS19 equipped GSXR 1000. On that note, I'll be ordering some RCS17 master cylinders for the Hayabusa for both brake and clutch.

Worst recall roll-out ever.
Over a year and a half to address failing front brakes.
And 4 years into production with the same issues...and on the flagship bike...not to mention it's other 'quirks'.
Mr.Suzuki needs shamed for this bs.

Make sure you check your technician's work. The recall was done on my brand-new bike before they let me ride it. I just checked mine and found the tech hadn't done it right. First of all, he hadn't aligned the pin hole under the bar with the gap between the clamp (it was way out), and he'd over-torqued the mounting bolts to the point I almost couldn't loosen them. The torque should be 3nm! Check out the attached doc and look at the bottom right box - you'll see how the alignment works. Took me 5 minutes to get it all back to spec. You'll need a mirror to see what you're doing. This is why I have trust issues.

I just got my recall letter today on this issue. I’m in the San Francisco Bay Area so maybe this is rolling out geographically for some reason.
My letter says Suzuki will give me a free oil change and service for bike to compensate for my “inconvenience”.
I’ll take it!!
I’m 15 minutes from the dealer so not a problem.

What's the difference between the RCS19 and RCS17? Since I got my recall done I think I may do the clutch master cylinder and slave to lighten the clutch pull.

Well for braking, the 19 has more pressure for the same amount of lever pull/force.
It can be overkill, with more lightswitch like on and off braking, vs a more gradual slowing feeling the harder you pull with the 17, but will vary by calipers and rider's personal preference.
It would affect the clutch the same way, on/off vs a more gradual engagement
But all of the Brembo mc Gen3's I have seen use the 19's.

Well, got the letter today for my 2022. Last recall I had done on a bike was my gen2’s rectifier and the knuckleheads left the belly wing lose and melted it against the exhaust so, I’m not looking forward to dropping her off at any dealer. I think I’ll hold off and see what happens. She’s been parked in the garage for 1 month so I think I’ll pull the lever when I get home to see what it does.

Save the headache...buy a Brembo.
If you ever get rid of it, put the stock mc back on, the recall will still be valid.
