Gen3 Quickshifter PROBLEM

Must be something with the ECU as they use the same QS on the GSXR don't they?

It seems to be flawless on that bike...did you have any issues with the QS on the 1K @sixpack577

Nah, the Gsxr QS is slick, no issues.
But, there is a Gen3 QS flash available now to fix the lag.
One org member(can't remember who) already said it fixes it too

I have a third-generation Hayabusa.
When shifting with QS, sometimes the engine disengages for longer than it should. It can be as one or two seconds. Does anyone have the same problem? My brother's 3rd gen does the exact same thing.

I am from the Czech Republic. We fall under distribution from Hungary and they don't want to deal with a complaint on one bike. Can you also claim this problem? Let there be more of us. Then Suzuki will have to solve the problem. When the problem shows up in a corner, it's killing.
I have experienced this a few times. I have found that using mode 2 and being aggressive with the QS it's been almost perfect. Not sure if you can claim this or not or if Suzuki has any plans to address the issue. I have never experienced this in a corner I generally have a gear selected before entering and through apex I don't shift if it's a long sweeping exit I could see how this could be an issue.

I’d say almost for sure some electronic hiccup or something is causing it. I’ve read that the normal “1” mapping limits torque in the lower gears, especially 1st, but I can’t prove it… the frustrating thing is that is doesn’t always happen even when the situation is consistent.

We must have details.....I demand a video on your channel!!! Just kidding but where did you get flash and how do you flash the bike, is it part of the MM flash?
Won't this risk damaging the transmission? I thought the timing cut was part of what enables quick shift to work.

I have read this as well - it it actually states that the timing delay out.

Which concerns me regarding the transmission longevity.

Does this mean it completely removes it?

Now that I'm back on the bike, I'll see what I can do. At least for the noise part. :)

Just unplugged your ECU, box and ship to MM to flash. I had my ECU back in my hands in 7 days. Have to do a short procedure when you first start the bike, had CELs for a couple of starts but they cleared themselves.

For those that have the ECU flash from Moore Mafia that takes the timing delay out, how is it working?

Any conversations with Chris Moore about the potential impact on the transmission? My understanding is that the ignition is retarded by the ECM to 'unload' the transmission to allow the shift to happen.

I'd like to understand this before getting the tune.

FYI I just received a response from Suzuki France about the "QS" issue, here is the Google translation :
"Following the checks and interventions carried out by the technical team of the Suzuki dealership in Maromme as well as our Regional Manager, we have been assured that your vehicle meets the quality and reliability standards established by Suzuki.

Indeed, this sensation of cut is a security in the electronic control management of the gear lever. If the shift action is not sharp enough, the ECM will increase the power reduction delay to ensure proper upshift locking. The aim is to avoid the risk of damaging the gearbox and thus guarantee the reliability of our products."

Sounds like they hired a politician to respond....

Install was easy, you do need to remove the left side fairing to get access to the connectors and wire manage it correctly.

You don't technically don't need to do anything to the QS sensitivity in Woolich to use it but I do recommend changing it depending on your likings.

Glad Woolich really came out with products for the gen3, I'm really shocked and bummed everyone else's r&d is lacking in the gen3 area. All I see is bragging with nothing physically out. Shut up and take my money doesn't seem to work.

Does it needs to be reflashed to work or its just plug and play?
My ECU has been flashed by Chris Moore before receiving the Woolich QS, I don't have a factory tune so I'm not entirely sure if it will work or not with a factory locked ECU.

Hey Chris, stop playing with Kawi's and start giving us more Gen3 promised content!
