On a serious note, i didnt vote for him, but i dont think anything will be able to flip the economy but time. im in michigan, very effected by the auto situation and the big 3, well i cant find a job as a walmart greeter or a burgerking cook. talk about depressing, ive worked 2 jobs at a time for 4 years, and had a job the day i turned 16 til a year ago when i quit to get into gentex making mirrors for chevys. I guess what im saying is action is good, but maybe a hands off approach is good too, to much governing turns into govt ran corp's. i like what i see so far, no bans on ar-15's and he is starting to take action on the promises made.

I'm not hateful about it in any way. I just believe if they aren't in the country legally they shouldn't be receiving handouts of my tax dollars.

And don't be so fast to rush to judge that all of them are poor. Back when I worked construction, many of the contractors hired illegals to do the work. Many make good money and pay zero taxes. I was told by the job superintendent that one group of brick contractors would work here for 3-4 months, during that time they would make 50 - 60k, pay zero taxes then take it back to mexico and live the other 8-9 months like kings. Yes they were working for cheaper wages than a union bricklayer would make but when you don't have to pay half of it in taxes you can afford to. That was 10 years ago, just think what they are making today.

On Monday, in the latest in a series of large-scale, brutal operations, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested some 350 immigrant workers employed by Howard Industries in Laurel, Mississippi. The company, which employs more than 3,000 people in Jones County, was forced to close its manufacturing facility for the day.

A raid was also conducted at the Howard Technology Park in nearby Ellisville, in southeast Mississippi. Howard, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of electrical transformers, produces dozens of commercial and industrial products.

In May of this year, ICE agents carried out one of its largest operations, raiding a meatpacking plant in Postville, Iowa and detaining nearly 400 immigrant workers. Many of those detained were imprisoned for months on charges of using false documents. Mass hearings were held on the grounds of the National Cattle Congress in Waterloo, Iowa. An interpreter present said later that many of the immigrants did not understand the charges against them.

ICE has increased the pace of workplace raids; arrests of workers that resulted in deportation jumped from 445 in 2003 to 4,077 last year.

Fact is Mexicans will do jobs that others won't do. They will do it with a smile on their face, with pride and they won't ***** about anything....except maybe they want more work to do. It is sad, but most Americans are lazy, when it comes to any manual labor jobs.

I have a landscaping business and I went through employee after employee, Joe calling in sick every other Monday, Tom breaking my tools, Bill trying to do side jobs using my equipment. Guy after guy, always something.........until I hired Jose. Always shows up on time....always does good work....never calls in sick......treats my tools and equipment like it is his.

I wish it was different. But it is not...

In todays economy, Americans are probably rethinking the job strategy and
will DO...just about anything as unemployement rises and as my post above

Those jobs weren't "mexican only cause Americans wont do jobs" those are
American FACTORY UNION JOBS.

I too am pissed about wallstreet taking money from me and living high on the hog. These bonuses just go to show that there has always been a system set up for these people to gain wealth at whatever cost. They care nothing about us hard working Americans who actually work for our pennies compared to their bonuses.
