gotta $151 for 77 in a 55 near construction zone. I wasn't even "speeding". pulling ahead [with the wave on permission] to pass another biker as we entered a narrowing one lane into construction. just wanted to give room for clean/safe passage for us both.

I doubt I can talk them down, but rather try than not. wish me luck

let's see if a "Judge" is really capable of 'Judging' anything

oh, and there was no one on highway for miles, except other random biker, this cop and turns out he was in training, so probably couldn't have gotten just a "warning". I was nice, he was nice, we did our business and went our separate ways

remember I'm the guy that gets $100 parking in the yello wstriped zone next to a handicapped parking space that isn't even used in our buinesses parking lot...

and the guy that gets his car stereo ripped, and when I find IT at my local Best Buy in teh used rack, the police do nothing to follow it up claiming matching prints would be too costly.

Good luck to you, but if you feel things aren't looking good, ask the judge to take the ticket under a probationary period. I did it moons ago when I got a ticket. Had to pay the fine but no points and nothing on my record as long as I didn't get another ticket for a year. Worked out for me when all was said and done...

thanks guys!

this is my first EVER ticket on a motorcycle. had two warnings, but that's it

I'll try that bigern, sounds like this date might be a PRE court planning date, in which case I'll just pay and move on since missing more work would only cost me money

Thats a tough call, but the money you'd lose missing work may be less than an insurance jump.

I wouldnt risk that, bike insurance is hard enough to get.

Best of luck! You never know, the judge might be in a great mood today...

Good luck! Next time I get a ticket, I'm going to court but pleading No Contest.. they always get 1/2 the fines and no points.

But I hope you get a judge that rides.

Good luck. Try to lower your expectations of the process. Maybe you might not be too disappointed.

Hope it works out for you.

Good Luck . If I were you I'd just pay a lawyer . They work wonders in court. Put the court date off and get some representation. I have a question: How did you know the stereo you saw in bestbuy was yours ? Did you get it back ? If not , Why Not ? That seems a terrible miscarriage of justice.
