Damn that sux, glad to hear you didn't get to banged up. Sorry about the your bike.
Yeah! I was so wanting to kick someone's azz!!! Its probably better off that he/she didn't stick around, I might have a manslaughter charge against me right nowUnfortunately, I bet you'd like to catch that cager and slap the shid out of him/her!!!
I have full coverage, prolly not going to use it, for fear my rates will go through the roof... I also have health ins. BUT the knee is just slightly more than a rug burn would be, not a big deal really.Did you have full coverage on the busa.?
And did you have health ins.??
And please, can you decribe the cager.
I was thinking the same thing....Dang, if your Icon mesh jacket got torn up like that in a 25 mph get off, imagine what you'd look like if it was an 80 mph crash?
You might rethink that, I had similar damage and the repair est. was $6829. Don't know if your rates will go up, there might be a way to check and find out. Maybe you can ask your agent, if there is no accident report and no claim I don't think they can raise your rates for asking.I have full coverage, prolly not going to use it, for fear my rates will go through the roof...
Asides from the stat cover, there really was no other major mechanical damage... I need ALL the plastics mainly... I don't think that my repair costs will be over $1,500 total...You might rethink that, I had similar damage and the repair est. was $6829. I don't like filing claims either but years ago I was told that’s why it's called a accident.
Good thing that you are okay. I want to add to what he said about the insurance issue. I was discussing this with my insurance agent regarding uninsured motorists. This is an insurance option on most policies that would cover you in cases of hit-n-run (this is your case) and other accidents that the other party does not have insurance. I would exercise this option if you have it on your policy and it would not be a no-fault claim. This means that it will not affect your rate due to you was not at fault. The only problem is that if you did not get a police report, but if you did it should show what happened and the insurance adjuster will see this and process as a no-fault claim. You might rethink that, I had similar damage and the repair est. was $6829.
