Good luck Lt.

My bad, I was in a car for 17 hours yesterday driving back down/up from where ever I was at. A fever and lethargy while on a grueling drive is no fun specially when you are in unknown possibly hostile territory.. I'd rather be in Afghanistan.. :please:

Hope you feel better. Got a bit of a fever myself and couldn't figure out whybut I think it's a toth as it's screaming now and i have a presentation to the city in 30 minutes!

The LAPD has a history and his manifesto falls right in line with that history. A friend of mine and I had a long debate over This. I think his actions are not rational. Rather than just expose the issues he chose to follow down the path of revenge (by killing family members rather than the people actually doing the misdeeds). That really makes it easy for people to dismiss his charges against the LAPD, as his approach is clearly unstable. I too grew up as an extreme minority, and getting that mad over a white person saying the n-word is odd, as I quickly learned to just get over it. On the other hand, My friend says the charges cannot be ignored no matter who they came from, crazy or not. I hope my friend is right and the appropriate people will look into what this troubled soul has accused the LAPD of. However, even if he is right about the charges he has leveled against the LAPD, he is going to have to die for what he has done either in the wilderness to a sniper's bullet or in prison. However given that he is a real problem to a group lik ethe LADP, I suspect he will be dragged out of the woods dead.

Exactly Vabusa! That's what I said on the #14 post on this thread.

I don't buy it...there were other ways this man could have handled this entire situation. You can't tell me there aren't enough greedy-want-the-spot-light lawyers out there that would have gladly taken on his case, especially one regarding the LAPD and racial issues. Hell, there are leaders out there that would have gladly championed this man's cause, that would have brought it to the forefront of the media and to the public had he just opted to really WANT to effect change. What he wanted was revenge, and I said it in my one and only other post here days ago - he showed signs of violence that rational humans don't normally display, wanting to put a bullet in the heads of those saying things he didn't like to hear. WE ALL hear crap we don't want to hear, stuff that cuts you up personally, but rational people don't think "shoot him and that'll be that"...

This guy was a loose cannon...whatever brought him to that point doesn't really matter anymore, does it? Did any of his attempts at drawing attention to his plight do a single thing for the cause? A rational man would have found a better way...

He's no hero, not then and not now... :2cents:

With all due respect, your idealism blinds you from the realities of the world.

his actions only serve to solidify the decision the LAPD made to terminate his ass. NOTHING he did after being terminated helped his cause. it only demonstrated that he was a loose cannon that had no place in LE.

yea I know..... he was targeted because he was black. BS! he was fired cause he was psychopath. anyone who cant see that needs to take off the racist blinders.... and see him for the murdering coward he was and nothing else.

this was not about JUSTICE. this was simply about REVENGE for thinking that anyone other then himself was to blame for his termination. his termination was also held up at the state level when he appealed.

This is pretty much true. What he did is pretty hard to justify no matter what happened. I don't get going after soomeone's family, that's about revenge not justice.

I think it is unreasonable, but indeed a sign of the times, to label any one that pursues a fight to restore his name or a fight to expose corruption as a psychopath or crazy or a nut or coward.

Just look at me, I am the devil's advocate here more often than not and I have been very aware of the general opinion many here have about my very reasonable presentations of a different perspective as just plain nuttiness, ravings of a madman and trolling.

With all due respect, your idealism blinds you from the realities of the world.

And your opinions on conspiracy theories don't do a single thing to better whatever his cause may have been, just as his actions did NOTHING to fix the problem...

I'm paraphrasing here...

"Put a bullet in the head of someone that offends me, then exact revenge on anyone tied to them..."

Signed,
A fool that's no longer capable of productive thought or able to be a part of society...yeah, NOT A MARTYR

I feel Dorner was a loner, I say this to say, it's a shame that no one in his life stepped in and put their arm around his shoulder. Not his mother or sister, no one. Are we so busy with our own lives that we can not see the pain or hear the agony of those close to us and maybe shut our mouths about our problems long enough to listen to anothers.

I'm confused LAPD keeps coming up in Chris Dorner's Death. Did they even have officers on the ground near the cabin ? I disagree with probably 90% of that CNN article. I do agree with parts of it.

IMHO Chris Dorner would not allow himself to be taken alive. Is it really expected that more officers needed to be injured or killed for the purposes of taking him alive ?

Also think of this folks, just for a minute. You weren't there. You have little to no facts, and you can't responsibly sit back in the safety of your recliner and judge the actions of those that were. Most of you can't even place yourselves in their shoes to begin to understand. I wasn't there in the heat of the moment, so I certainly can't judge their actions. Anyone who wants to try must place themselves in their shoes at the moment.

Prayers sent for all those who died in this incident and remember this. This was just one incident that captured the medias attention, just think of all the evil and tragedy that took place while you watched it.

actions speak louder then words and his actions were those of a psychopath!

The audio of the gunfight is downright scary. There was some shooting going on for sure.
I hope they Barbequed him on purpose. He shot two cops and killed one the last day. Those folks most likely had families yet had nothing to do with his case. He got what he deserved, what he wanted and the whole thing ended up saving the tax payers of California millions in atty fees.

Wrong, it did everything to put a spotlight on the LAPD and the ongoing corruption permeating it so that maybe a larger organization can initiate an inquiry into the events that led to this saga. Also, what you call a conspiracy theory and therefore dismiss as lunacy stems from a series of unexplained and not even addressed events as this will continue to be for eternity. You will have some congressional finding or a poorly hatched LAPD statement after another lousy "internal review" that does nothing to improve LEO and Civilian relations.

Did you read his service record? The guy was either directly a NAVY Seal or an underwater demo guy which is pretty much hand in hand. These facts are not even publicized but if you know how to read between the lines you can be aware. What is this trained assassin stuff? It is because they know what he did in the Navy and they hired him in a very obvious manner to compliment the personnel infrastructure of the force. Thus, his behavior and confidence due to experience is what gave him the wherewithal to stand up for what he believed.

Let me give you something else to label a conspiracy theory. This is experience I have gained in my involvement in various international incidents and what I have learned through direct interaction with the highest echelons of government is that the agencies entrusted with securing our borders, national defense, foreign policy and local law enforcement not to mention others that will remain unnamed are functioning in an autonomous way with no inter agency cooperation that is very precisely designed to keep all intelligence in house and for the benefit of those in command. You don't get to learn these truths by reading a few newspapers or watching CNN in the comfort of your own home.

Back to ramble mode  There's nothing that points to this man being a Navy Seal or in anyway associated with the special forces of our military. The carnage would have been devastating and he would probably still be alive.

Who cares, this guy had "assault rifles" and from what I heard on CNN, an ASSAULT SNIPER RIFLE! WOW! He needed to die...

corruption? cmon.... maybe 25 years ago but not today. the LAPD is majority minority. there are more minorities working there then not. the only inquiry thats gonna be made into the LAPD was that they fired the right person.

I still find it amusing that people (black people mostly from the interviews I have watched on TV) somehow think his ends justify his means and his actions mean that there is underlying racism and discrimination involved in his case and thats what set him off. such absolute BS!

more typical racist garbage in attempt to find a rationale reason as to why someone would go around murdering innocent people because they feel they were wrongfully terminated. thats pathetic is what that is and only serves to weaken racial arguments vs. strengthen them. we all know racism exists in this world and police departments are no exception but turning this coward into some type of martyr cause he happens to be black is pathetic!

Let me say that what I read from you, my friend, is you projecting some very personal experiences on something that may, or may not, be a conspiracy to cover truths about the LAPD. Here’s where you fail, IMHO…just because you feel you can read between the lines of what this guy was facing does not mean he is any more than just another nut job that lost his job and couldn’t ever get past that fact. Most sane people go on with life, albeit with some bit of trepidation and angst toward the system, but I say again, far more people have faced far worse and found much better ways around it. You cannot tell me for one moment that had this guy been in his right mind and wanting to fight the good fight, he wouldn’t have considered bringing racism in the LAPD to the brightest lights imaginable - call the Rev. Al Sharpton and Rev. Jesse Jackons of the world, and you’ll see it take the lead on every major news channel in an instant. The entire case with Trayvon Martin comes to mind; racism IS still a very real problem and a very real hot button for the American public. He could have so easily used those avenues to highlight to what was going on, but instead he decided to make it very personal and exact revenge, and in the end, no matter what his story ends up being, HE DID NOTHING TO CHAMPION THE CAUSE. NOTHING. He is not a martyr; never was…what it takes is a very calculated, rational and systematic gathering of FACTS, not emotion, to exact the change you want to see. That doesn’t mean you’ll ever win, but good grief, *this* won’t get you anywhere.

As an aside, if you ever think I’m an idealist, then you know absolutely nothing about me. I’m the most cynical person you’ll ever meet, and I trust nothing I read, see or hear in the media, period. I don't sit at home watching CNN or Fox News thinking they're feeding me anything but sensationalism. I am the first one to assume the gov’t lies to us all, and that the powers that be, whether that’s in D.C. or just down the street with my local police department, are corrupt, that there is definitely a system of “good ‘ol boys†that are mostly self-serving, hiding behind their badges and titles, looking out for good old number one and all that agree with their views.

I am also a rational person, and as such I can see the blatant difference between someone who thinks something through vs. someone that opts to go with their gut no matter what that means, thinking that’s going to change the world. He's being given too much credit here; he did nothing to change the problems he went on about in his manifesto. All he did, if he’s all you say he was, is perish, and with him went any hope of his story becoming a truth. He never should have thought the answer to racism and distrust with the LAPD was to kill innocent people. That’s what dictators do, and serial killers and people that can no longer handle being a productive member of society…

Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...Blah...
.....I am also a rational person…

:bs:

Reading his manifesto, it didn't appear to be continuous or systematic. Those two clowns in his training class could have been having fun with him or a couple rednecks. It should not have happened period. Law Enforcement Officers have to take a lot of crap and let it roll off their backs to make it. It's constitutionally protected while totally uncivil IMO. If I had a nickle for everytime someone made a racially charged comment to me on the job I probably wouldn't be sitting here reading this but thrashing my race prepped BMW, GSXR, Busa around a private , yet awesome track with Tuf at my side to coach. Yes he would be well compensated.

Are there issues within the LAPD ? I don't know I'm not there, but more than likely just like every other organization including religious ones more than likely there's issues.

Shouldn't Tuf be paying to hang out with you? Surely not the other way around.. :poke: :laugh:

I think Dorner had been watching too many Samuel L Jackson movies...
