Got my new brocks today

You got a great tune brother because the yosh website only shows a possible 7 on race exhaust. I don't care what you run, it's your bike and for all I know you got a bad exhaust. Hope Brock's gets it straight for you.

i could be mistaken but i dont think any of the brocks pipes are u.s. made.

i'm sure theyll take care of you though. they have a reputation as having the best customer service.

You mean I might be able to find Chock's? ? ? ? ? ? ? :please:

here are some pictures.I looked inside and these are mig welded and there is wire and sugaring inside from not being back purged with argon.

Thats probably 7 bolted on without a PC3.I went with a brocks for more power and the better sound.

Brocks isn't a fly by night guy, everyone releasing a new ride gets him involved. So my hope is he'll make good on it. I'll definitely have to look at mine closer next oil change.

Just gonna throw this out there about the welds on there, being i am a tig welder

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
That crap would have never been allowed to leave my shop like that ???

I tig stainless as well and this isnt tigged. My welds look like a roll of dimes. This is machine mig welded and can see wire inside the pipe. I would have never let that pass QC and I paid almost a grand for bird poop welds.:banghead:Not to mention the real thin tube these are made from.

Brock don't make exhausts, they are made by exhaust manufacturers to his specs. They make good power because he takes the time to do the research required to find out what works best. I've never bought anything from him, (overpriced in my opinion) but he has a reputation for excellent customer service.

I am sure they will make it right and maybe open theyre eyes to some QC before they ship.I am a picky bastard and just want what I pay for, a quality product.

I just looked at my alien head that I just got and the welds look the same as above, except I don't think the hole is going all the way through. As long as it doesn't leak and performs as advertised I don't really care, I just want to install it.

Mine look to go thru and i dont want leaks.I want to install mine also.A good weld goes all the way around and should start where it started without a hole.

Karnage with all due respect it sounds kinda of silly for you to complain about thin wall tubing on an aftermarket exhaust designed to save weight?

So these 'holes' only look like they go thru but you haven't actually stuck a paper clip in there to verify it? These are machine welds on an exhaust pipe that goes on the bottom of your bike and isn't visible to anyone right?
What you paid for is the R&D that went into getting the most hp from a certain diameter a certain bend a certain shape pipe, not pretty welds. Brock will stand behind his product and make whatever needs to be done right. His pipes are made in Canada by Hindle I believe. But in this case I dont see anything wrong. Roll of dimes welds like you want may be difficult to do on the quantity scale he deals with. You say you weld and so does BigBadDodge but again I don't think either of you have to weld as much as Brocks does. On that I may be wrong.

No offense meant, just an honest opinion.

No offense taken. These are pin holes and can stick a wire thru them.A hole equals a leak and thats not good for performance. The weld on the can is beautiful and a roll of dimes and they make a ton of those right??Guess I am being picky and expected a little more.I was thinking the tubes were going to be thicker, just an observation and i didnt complain tp them about it.I am looking foward to the sound and power these make though.

If the holes are holes and go thru then it's a no brainer. I do believe the cans are made in a different location than the header systems. Not sure but this may be why one mass produced piece is better than another from the same company? I've got an AlienHead on my bike as well. I think the first time you crank it up and hear it you'll forget all about this :)

I have to admit those welds look nothing like the welds from some other quality pipes in the same price range....or even less :banghead: Brock does have his pipes made by Hindle out of Canada, maybe their trying to cut costs like everyone else and the quality is going down. I've seen beautiful welds on Brocks systems in the past?
BTW I got over 11hp from my yoshi system.......buddies Brock system on 1 year newer busa and same mods except pipe, same dyno, same day (ran right after me) only got 12, and I had more low and mid hp than him as well  Plus the yoshi looks better, welds and all

I have also seen some brocks and hindles and V&H with nice welds thats why I feel a little let down on these.I too made good power with the yosh just wanted more with that brocks sound.I will wait to hear back from them before I do anything.Didnt want to cause an uproar.
