got screwed by the dealer!

The 09's are soon to be last years leftovers, which means better deals. Sucks, but things do happen for a reason.

i usually prefer a new one, though i agree that there are some good pre-owned samples out there. its just a preference. regarding the showroom floor usage, i seen a few guys mindlessly 'testing' things out, whether its a bike or car or whatever. that's why i prefer something 'unmolested'!! yeah, i am anal! but, i got rules for my life! :-) normally, don't deviate from them!

yeah, this coming weekend is supposed to be good. mid-50s! such days are gonner for next months, starting real soon! i sure would be riding!
 
wow sucks, i'd steer far from that place even for something small like parts after that. I got my bike off the showroom floor though, got a discount for it too and they fixed up everything i wanted on top of that. But thats thats another place and i've actually come to know and ride with a few of the workers there

you are right; left-over models can be a great deal. but, i am looking for the specific color: white. in fact, my MV dealer has a black one that i can get for about $500 cheaper than the one i lost. i wanna get precisely what i want. so, that makes it harder. it is highly likely that i would have to pay more in early-summer. but, i am not gonna worry about that.

+1000...my thoughts exactly! Stealer would have never even tried to pull such a stunt if you tokk down the VIN of the "mint" bike they showed you. Best of luck with the hunt for your future Busa.

P.S. Seen a few used '08s with mods already done for under $8K now

WAY better deals, got my new '07 in Feb 08 for 9200 OTD! :thumbsup: I already saw my sales rep this past weekend and told him I'd be back in Feb '10 for his '09 Gix750! :D

hey, Sir let me get that vin number so i can get started on some insurance. You know so they can get me an accuate quote.. blah blah blah...

2nd line... hey do you have a business card and a pen i can borrow. that way i'll have all your information and the vin together.. blah blah blah

i called the dealer i got my last 2bikes from

he quoted me 12,500 OTD SHIPPED TO MY DOOR from charlotte NC to El Paso TX... i SOLD, HOOKED i wanted it bad

but i couldnt afford the insurance
i could of bought a new left over hayabusa every 12months with what they were wanting for insurance

but for you... they may be the ticket

Yep, I basically bought my Busa over the phone. I did a 1300 mile trip to get it back home, but still saved money that way. All I had to do was walk in, sign a couple of things, hand over the cash, and bring her home. $9500 for an 08 in February 09.
 
Man that is crazy that they would try the ole switcher-roo on you, but at least you were able to get out of it. Now at least you know not to go back to that same dealership and can also warn others from doing the same thing. But other than that :welcome:.

Yeah you could go to the classifieds and check my Busa that is for sale. While it is not a "pristine" bike out of the box, it still is very nice and for a good price. Price is 8100. I feel you on the insurance, the cheapest offer i could get was for 3,000.00$ per year full coverage. But i had to have her so im stuck with just liabillity... sucks im scaired somethings going to happen ya know? Maybe when i hit 25 in another year it'll get more reasonable
