Harley Owners... DO NOT CLICK HERE...

Well some people like to eat oranges and others like to suck on lemons.
Does it really matter what you ride or just that you ride?

I've got one of each, and I like both for what they were intended to do, but the HD just seams slow now. Dam the Busa!

Still nothing like putting your feet on the highway pegs, cranking up the tunes and cruising down a back country road to nowhere.

I'm with you all the way on this Rev.

I WANT to buy American, I really do!!! But.....there is nothing for me to buy. The Japanese started with scooters and then moved up to standards. Then, showing no fear they start building cruisers, how dare they, that is American territory. Scoffed at in the 80s they are now a better deal and equal if not more reliable (I am trying to be curtious) than Harleys.

Why in heavens name is Harley so scared to build an American Sport Touring /hyper bike? It was the most exciting thing I had ever seen watching Miguel DuHamel race the VR1000 at Mid Ohio. Hell, he led the race until the shifter came loose. Thats right, Harley was kicking serious Jap tail in the AMA road racing program. It was only the first or second year in development.

I couldn't wait to buy one!!!

Sorry, not for sale. What!!! I want to buy THIS Harley, ZX11 be damned (fastest bike at the time) I wanted the Harley. It may be blasphemy, but I would probably not bought the Busa if the Harley would have been available. Especially a V-4.

Maybe Buell will get the picture and add a real rocket to the roster. Until then, I'll be waiting. I think we all want to buy American, it's just a real shame not one American company has the stones to compete with Japan. They are technological geniuses not because they are Japanese, it's just because they want it more.

Until the current craze for cruisers dies, there will be no pressure for Harley to build something for the rest of us. Like most American companies, they only respond once they feel the pain. Change is hard and until they are forced by market conditions, I think they will just keep pumping out the same old stuff.

Too bad, cause I'd buy one.
