Ok so the last piece of gear arrived today. I got my Icon boots for $90. My Cole Haan super dope waterproof backpack on sale for $129. My KBC Stealth helmet on clearance for $109.99 (I was a little worried abt the XXL size but it must run small cause it fits good.) And the best part of all.......... I was on Craigslist looking for a used chick helmet for between $40 and $60 and my buddy puts his Shoei RF 1000 Diabolic in my hands and says take this I'm not using it. His wife put it on once and never got back on his bike. Receipt in the box says $454.74, wow what a hell of a co-worker. I am going to need to do something hella nice for him. Now time to wait for my new baby to get here :laugh:

Point! I have my Joe Rocket mesh jacket and liner left over from my 04LE days so didnt need a new jacket. And I have Oakley gloves which are the sickest gloves I have ever felt or seen. I also wear some Oakley M Frames with a yellow lens for increased night visibility. And my Oakley Hijinx during the day. For pants I usually rock a good pair of jeans, no flaming please! lol at least it isn't shorts and flip flops! And a one piece outfit should be reserved for the track imho lol

I wear my one piece all the time! :laugh: My jeans don't have knee sliders, but I wear them too.

jeans=no pants

U r so close to be geared, why not do it all the way. Jeans offer nothing in the way of protection. Mesh jackets are a joke in a crash. This is not a flame, you said you have all the gear........survey says! uuuuugggghhhhhh!

GEAR NAZI'S! Run for COVER! Time and place is the way I look at it, it looks like you have covered most of the bases and as long as you aren't out tearing it up on the street, jeans are just fine. I can't wait until you get you bike! Don't know why but I am anxious for you.

Mesh will probably protect you on a crash once and will have to be replaced. Leather is more durable and will usually survive to be worn again. At least look into a pair of dragon jeans to protect the legs. Road rash is painful. I have a few rash scars from my younger days.

Sounds good, I have the Joe Rocket Alter Ego. Pants zip to jacket and give great protection, easy to get on and off, very versatile.

HAHA thanks man! :) I haven't been this excited in a long time.

I always say..........."the safest gear is a cage!" :thumbsup:

Wear what you are willing to accept responsibility for. Nice stuff so far!

You could always look into buying a pair of leather over pants to supplement your jacket. I wear them over my work clothes and they work great. Check leatherup.com or jafrum.com

Remember to post lots of pictures of your bike when it arrives!
