Someone else posted a self imposed limit that I believe in error as well according to the mags and wiki for the Gen II, but that's another argument and I grow tired of the arguments :laugh:

previous owner of mine indicated going 220mph with it.....
i just installed speedoDrD having to calibrate it -17.5% to correct the speed. lol

I just read this. Guys he has a white Busa so yes its very possible he can go 160 in 3rd possibly even 175 once he gets her broken in and loosened up.:poke::rofl:
 
i have an 08 and u say 160 in third gear:whistle:i cut uo on mine all the time and no rev limiter and to run 160 in third gear u would have to be way in the red even if thats possible **** i can run 163 in the top of fourth but third thats kinda extreme
 
well if hes running 160 in third gear it either regeared and the speed o meter is wrong. if that the case whats is his quarter mile speed and time.sprockets throw off speedometers he must be one down 4 up if so its wrong
 
first mate the bike dropped in the garage . not while riding it . slow down you sound like a mother lol.
two new fairings on there way from suzuki .
its a mistake i wont do twice . if i had crash bungs on the fairing would not have a single mark .
but bungs ordered now for new fairimg .
as for the bike not going to 120000 rpm this is geting a joke if the ecu has been flash tuned great that will be a job less to do . the bike hits 120000 rpm and its showing 160 in third . if the speedos out its not out by much if feels fast . good enough for me
 
Crash bungs wouldn't have saved it. They may have helped but it still may have gotten damaged...

Get it on a dyno, what the tach shows and what the bike is pulling are two entirely different things...same with the speedo... :laugh:

These are things any previous bike owner would already know....grab a beer and relax Owens....the water is nice and warm here... :beerchug:

crash bungs would have helped as it only dropped on its side in the garage . theres plenty time to get the bike on a dino once the engine has been run in . no point puting the bike on until the engine has been well run in to get the best results .

Properly run in? I guess 12,000 rpms in 3rd on a bike with a 1000 miles on it is going easy?
 
i never take my time running in any of my bikes . never had a problem with any of them from new / infact a bike thats been run in properly wont be as fast as a bike thats been thrashed about ....
