Hello Liberals

Finally we agree, though I don't agree that it was intentional lying, rather a monumental mistake.
I honestly think it was a way to test out new weapon platforms in combat....at that time the US had several untested platforms.

Sadly Iraq fell into what it is today because of the invasion...at least Saddam was predictable-he was a fascist dictator but he was predictable.

LOL, I think swimming against a strong current rather than floating down the river with the rest of the crowd takes courage, wether it was the right thing to do or not.

Another fella who had a similar personality profile was Lance Armstrong. He was one of the best athletes the US ever produced, but left the sport in tatters. The only one ever to win seven tours. He had a win at all costs attitude and basically concluded that following the rules would compare to going to a gun fight with a knife. So he got the biggest gun and learnt to use it better than anyone else.
Man, you are still missing the boat on Trump. Trump has never shown courage in his life. What he did was the act of a desperate man who realized he was ruined if he couldn't use the office of the presidency for personal gain. Trump never had a strategy for anything, it was all minute by minute looking for what he could get out of it. Just 4 years before becoming president, he was a Democrat giving money to the Clintons!

As an Architect, I saw Trump as a bad developer type right away. I talked to friends in NY and they said no one in the city would work with him because he wouldn't pay people then make them go broke chasing him through the courts. Even the banks wouldn't loan him money. That's sort of where the real trouble started. He had to go to questionable sources for money because his credit was zero. The whole running for president was a scam, he was using it to build his image, never expecting to win.

For example, the tariffs were not some slick strategy, they were his only unilateral power and so he used it to punish his enemies. That's why after everything the trade deficit with China is at the highest level ever and manufacturing is continuing to tank.

Another example is COVID. He knew how dangerous it was but never saw it as anything more than a direct threat to his presidency. At first, he thought he could play it off as he was a"war president", but realizing this was going to be a disaster, he did what he always does, ignore it, find a scapegoat, and walk away. That's his M.O. and he has done it his whole life.

I do get where you are, asking yourself how did I get conned by this obvious fool of a man. I remember I couldn't believe Clinton risked it all on a blow job. I was devastated when I realized he really put everything we had all worked for on the line like that. Another guy who fooled me was John Edwards. I thought this guy was the next JFK. You can only imagine what I was thinking when this scum of a guy locked himself in a toilet running away from reporters over an affair.

It sucks to be had. But the best thing to do is look realistically at who these guys are and move on.

Way overblown? And you tell people to open their eyes? Wow. Spend some time in southwest Missouri and say the same.

You didn't see police Capitol officers in some cases letting people in and moving barricades out of the way for them? You didn't see trump supporters walking through the capitol rotunda and staying with in the ropes in place to keep them in a row? You didn't see people posing for pictures with the statues inside the capitol? Yes... their were the rowdy violent types... but... who knows what all of them were? We know for a fact Antifa people were there wearing MAGA hats to doing destructive stuff... how many? We will never know... one thing we do know... the left with stage things and then blame somebody else... and its usually people that don't agree with their violent ways.
The determination has been made. Again, eyes, open...
No... the election was rigged... open your eyes to that... Trump out performed Biden 9 ways from Sunday against the forces of the Fake News Media, Big Tech and their censoring tactics, and the dimtards that attack just like they are doing now with the 2nd hoax impeachment ... its all a big clown show brought to you by people that are only interested in one thing.... Power! that is why we find them being so hypicritical so often.... rules for you, the peons... and no rules for us regardless of what we say the rules are... and that is a true signal that we are dealing with sociopaths with power... and they are also doing the bidding for like minded people like the Neocons. Right now the Neocons are licking their chops because its only a matter of time before the crap gets stirred somewhere... probably in the Middle East when our oil production drops to the point where we start importing oil again... which, is a direct result of the EOs that Biden is putting into effect. Yeah... lets kill our national oil business here at home so we depend again on foreign oil... gee... what could go wrong?
Finally we agree, though I don't agree that it was intentional lying, rather a monumental mistake.
Sorry... not buying that... no different than the Gulf of Tonkin and other reported false flag operations that happen occasionally... like it did in Germany as Hitler rose to power with the fire in the government building. Our country is under attack... the oligarchs and the CCP are the disrupters and human abusers of this world... Do you know the history of George Soros whom has groomed his sons to continue his legacy of plunder and ruin? Read about his Bank of England and the British pound story sometime... or pointing out to Nazis who the jews were with his dad when he was 13 years old... then coming back to looting the homes were the people lived that got hauled away by the Nazis... yeah... real nice guy that George Soros is... Human trash with money and aspirations to mold the world to his ideology... Why does he even live in this country? He should have been shown the door years ago for his systematic plans for exploiting any situation he thinks will benefit him like he did while being part owner of One West Bank.

So when president Trump stepped into North Korea.. would you have been able to do that as president knowing that Kim has ordered the death of many people including his own brother? Say what you want... that took some nerve... it was about building trust... but... you might say it was just for optics.
As an Architect, I saw Trump as a bad developer type right away. He built his image with boxing, the Apprentice and other ventures... as far as not paying people their is likely more to that than we know about... I served supeanas for a short time... it was mostly contractors suing each other... the commercial real estate business in NY is not a great place to do the commercial RE business... to many people involved wanting a cut from somewhere under the table...
For example, the tariffs were not some slick strategy, they were his only unilateral power and so he used it to punish his enemies. That's why after everything the trade deficit with China is at the highest level ever and manufacturing is continuing to tank.
Well... I guess those 500 billion to 800 billion dollar a year trade deficits with China while at the same time they play the devaluation game with their currency isn't factor when dealing with them... is it?
Another example is COVID. He knew how dangerous it was but never saw it as anything more than a direct threat to his presidency. He knew? How absurd... the first pandemic created by the CCP in Wuhan and spread around the world... Tell me how many other presidents have had that problem to solve before? Add to that the attacks from Biden and the fake news media when he shut off flights from China at the end of January... and they all called him names like he was doing something bad.

14,000+ plus people have died from covid since Biden stole the election... so... what is Biden doing about it? He has those deaths as blood on his hands right now... ( the same blame game the media plays, sound familiar ? ) they have had months to make a plan... but all Biden can do is cancel a pipeline, stop fracking on federal land, open 13 islamic countries to travel, stop the border Wall, and encourage the caravans to head north... yeah... great F%^&ging job by a pervert.

I think you might be a little envious of the lifestyle he has created for himself with his brand having gone world wide. Who would want to live his lifestyle for a few days just to see what its like?
I do get where you are, asking yourself how did I get conned by this obvious fool of a man.
Yeah... billionaire businessmen are fools... really?
I remember I couldn't believe Clinton risked it all on a blow job.
"Better put some ice on that " said Clinton after he got done raping Juanita Brodrick and was walking out of the room. Why did she need to put ice on her lip? Because while doing the act he was biting her lip so hard that she had to give into the rape he committed on her or risk having a portion of her lip bit off. "Better put some ice on that" ... ts the name of her book ... look at the long list of women Clinton has exploited... as least Paula Jones got an out of court settlement for $850,000.
I was devastated when I realized he really put everything we had all worked for on the line like that.

Its how rapist roll... getting a friendly intern under the desk when the SS is guarding the door isn't to risky if you know where Hillary is.
Another guy who fooled me was John Edwards. I thought this guy was the next JFK. You can only imagine what I was thinking when this scum of a guy locked himself in a toilet running away from reporters over an affair.

No kidding... we can agree on that... so... why is hansee grabby sniff my hair Biden not considered by you to be unworthy of the office of the president? He also fits the role of somebody with a deep desire to sell the power of whatever office he holds for personal gain.
What did he say as he sat in the Ukraine while being the VP... Was it .... "If you don't fire the prosecutor investigating my son you ain't getting the billion dollar loan guarantee?

What kind of US loan policy is that? I would like to hear your spin on that one.

Biden is similar to Obama... he can look you in the eye and lie to your face... I guess that when these political hacks are practicing lying as long running politicians they get so much practice they get good at it after while...

Arch, you spent quite a bit of time typing a reply to a post from some days ago. In the mean time the Trump boat has sailed, it left the harbor. It’s over it’s gone.

Read the last two words of your last sentence a few times, that is pretty good advice you are giving yourself.

You should give the same advice to Shumer and Pelosi, who have embarked on an Impeachment which is going to go nowhere, other than waste taxpayers money and further divide the nation.

Another example of Democrats not being the sharpest knives in the drawer.

A sitting president incites an insurrection against the United States of America and you guys want to just turn a blind eye to that? We are a Nation of Laws, and that doesn't mean that we prosecute things when it's convenient. Wrong is wrong and this president deserves to pay the proper penalty for what he has done.

Already right-wingers are re-writing history by saying you can't impeach a president after he is out of office. But Trump was impeached for the second time while in office. There is a reason to pursue this, maybe the most important reason: because he committed a crime in broad daylight on video.

A country of law and order can't enforce the law when it's convenient. That's why Democrats are proceeding with impeachment and a trial in the Senate. Republicans have abandoned all of their principles for Donald Trump. Fiscal responsibility, free trade, American exceptionalism, and now even law and order? The Republicans are proving to be a party of cowards, afraid to do the right thing or face the threats of their own mob.

Sometimes I think you may be on drugs, or have a real focus problem. I responding to your statement about the white supremacy problem, not the attack on the Capitol, quite clearly.

Wuzza and Bumblebee are right, trying to discuss with you is fruitless.

You ever have a conversation with a person and see that they have tuned you out completely and while you are speaking they are formulating their response and not listening to what you are saying??

This thread has become that conversation. I am growing weary of staying into it honestly.

You miss the point. Want to take a bet that the impeachment will not pass the senate? Don’t we have more important challenges than this waste of time based on something which is doomed for failure?

I believe Trump should be prosecuted for what he did. I also believe there are ways to circumvent the immunity of deeds during the time he held office. I believe that to be the best approach.

You my friend support something which compares to going for a ride on your Busa without taking it off the stands. You are gonna go nowhere, just make a lot of noise and p off the neighbors.

As always, I will remind you of your wisdom in the weeks to come.

I would lose that bet, but in my opinion he should be impeached, at least kept from running for office again, for the offence. That said I found the first impeachment peculiar and a reach, even disliking Trump as much as I do.

yup the country has been divided many times
"one rotten apple can spoil the hole bag"
living together seems to be the big issue

I don't agree to pursue the law and follow the constitution is ever a waste of time - it is in fact the obligation of anyone taking the oath of office. If you let Trump go (again) you open a door that is difficult to close. What is a waste of time is a Republican Senate with a sliding morality driven only by political expediency. I have known for most of my life that justice wasn't blind in this country, but it is pretty amazing to watch. "If he's our criminal, let him go." I am ashamed for you brother.

It is debatable whether impeachment of a president no longer in office is following the constitution. We know for certain this is going to fail.

Following the law to lift immunity and prosecute the President seems more likely to succeed by some legal scholars.

I am an Engineer and you are an Architect, so I guess both those subjects are out of our area of expertise, other than we know the impeachment will not pass the senate.

Either you are not very acute to reading comprehension, or you are jumping from Autocad, or Vectorworks or whatever drawing you are working on and miss half of what I wrote.

Why are you ashamed for me, I support prosecution for his actions.?

And, a correction to your post, should you not know this. The Senate is no longer a "Republican Senate".

Correction, he was impeached for the second time while still in office. There was not time to have the trial. The punishment for being found guilty in an impeachment trial is being put out of office but also not being allowed to hold the office ever again. Are you saying a president can commit any crime they want the last month of office?

Yes, I did miss that you support prosecution.

In re: “It is debatable whether impeachment of a president no longer in office is following the constitution. We know for certain this is going to fail.”

Geebus man! It is NOT debatable. Impeachment proceedings began prior to him leaving office. The fact that senate approval and the trial haven’t yet commenced doesn’t have any bearing on it whatsoever. In addition, taking the position that the effort should not continue because you believe it’s going to fail is ludicrous.

Read the post above yours. LOL, that is pretty funny!! I'll add two words to that post.
Some of your fellow Democrats are a bit smarter than Pelosi, Schumer and you.
Or, perhaps in your own words some of your fellow Democrats are ludicrous.

Sometimes the grey matter here on the political forums runs pretty thin.

Read it again, (one) Dem senator, is “exploring drafting a bipartisan censure”. You know, I’ll bet that lots of people have ‘explored drafting‘ something too. Didn’t meant that they actually did or, that several friends ultimately thought it was a good idea and agreed to do it either. Grey matter? Think again. Only 17 republican votes are needed.

“Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia said Wednesday that he has been exploring drafting a bipartisan censure of Trump that would short-circuit a potentially lengthy trial that could impede progress on other Democratic priorities.”

Another senator chimed in, the majority whip,

“It’s hard to get over it if you lived it, and many of us in this chamber did,” Sen. Richard J. Durbin (D-Ill.), the majority whip, said Wednesday. “We should go forward, as Lincoln reminded us, because we cannot escape history, and we certainly shouldn’t be party to rewriting history. We need to make a record — a record of fact, not just for our current deliberations, but for history.”

How do you think this impeachment will end through the senate?

Trump's next challenge is a financial one, he is in trouble.
