Against Helmet Law. I will not fly anywhere without one though. A cheap THH saved my noggin. I was broadsided on my old CBR 1000, two inches shy of my shift leg. Dead CBR, New Busa. What a diffrence.

I vote against... I guess a choice thing. Like a few others, if I decide to just go for a little stroll, I don't like to waer one even though reality says it can be just as bad @ 35 MPH as 135 MPH, depending on the circumstances of an unfortunate situation. But I do wear a can prob about 80% of the time.

Stay safe and keep the rubber side down!

this one is tough.... the helmet did save me from head injuries when i went down but when i work on the bike and take it out for a test spin, i hate wearing it. i guess i would vote against.

I very seldom if ever would vote affirmatively to allow the feds to mandate safety. I think it infringes upon the states' rights. Regardless one should always CHOOSE to wear a helmet at all times on a motorcycle since low speed head injuries can/do occur
frequently if you're not wearing your helmet. I have 2 beautiful children and I don't want them growing up without a dad. OK, I'll just step off my soapbox now.:)

I voted for the law. There are so many different types of helmets these days, that allow you to take in more air and comminicate clearly, then just close the face when it's time to streetrace, or stunt.
I know creative designs and painting on the helmet makes a lot of guys wear their helmets, that otherwise would not wear a helmet. Or just look like that.

I voted against the helmet law, there are a few times when I prefer NOT to wear a helmet period! like when I'm in busy stop and go traffic in a downtown major city, 90 degrees, stopping at every light and the max speed is 25(I,ll take my chances there) when I am putting down to the beach like Alki.(25 mph) I think we should have a choice to wear one when the speeds are not that fast like 35 mph or something. I also think we should all be able to split lanes at certain speeds like you can in cali.

I would vote for a national helmet law if the insurance companies would lower their rates. They will not lower them so I would not vote for it. wow.gif

BIG NO VOTE!!--I WEAR A HELMET, BUT I THINK WE SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE

I liked the one Ohio had , you only had to wear one on the freeway. I personally always wear one and always will .

In Florida you have the choice, provided you have medical insurance.I feel this is reasonable.I wear my helmet 99% of the time, but once in a blue moon I venture out without.I like having the option.Up at Biketoberfest the traffic is almost entirely stop and go,and the temps were pretty warm.Never put my helmet on once the entire time I was there.I still think it is a must for normal traffic and of course for any type of intense riding.

I would vote against the law, sounds crazy I know. I always where mine even in PA (no law there) It should your choice. My rule of thumb for wearing one is: anything under bicycle speed ex. stuck in heavy traffic in 90degree weather take the cap of youll die of heat stroke b4 bumping your head. Any thing faster than 10-20mph and your crazy not to wear one.

A helmet has already saved my head once, I will never ride without one.

It all comes down to: Should people be protected from their own stupidity?

I would vote against it but I would wear a helmet ALWAYS. I believe that it should be someones choice to wear a helmet.
