Somewhere around 175. I was too busy watching the road to be sure, but I did see the needle swing past 170. BTW, I have corrected the speedo error with a Yellow Box.

I have heard a few people talk about the speedo being wrong on the busa's.....  What is all of this about?  Is it true? or is it just a hair off exact like every other vehicle..... hehe

I've hit 190 on the speedo...have no clue what that comes to by gps. The first time I did it I was running from the cops...but got a caught laterz. Clocked at 110 mph before he turned around. Oh well...

150 and feeling slow in this company...

Cetrov! When am I going to see you at Harley's Rock Inn?

I got her up to 150mph today! Out in the country... The speed isnt whats scary.... It is how smooth a busa is when going that fast! Its not the bike or the speed that scares ya, because its soooooooooooo smooth that it feels safe! It is your own fear of going that fast..... After a few seconds you seem to come to your senses and slow down, hehe. What other motorcycle has that kind of safe feeling at high speeds? None of the numerous ones Ive rodE!!!

IT IS NOT A FEW PEOPLE. IT IS EVERY TUNER AND HIGH END RACER .

The Speedo is off 7.5 % this is a fact.
This is with strock gearing
If you change the geaging down in front you will be off even further
If you go to 19/41 the speed will be right on
If you go to 18/40 you will be off about 3-4 %

On a 285 HP motor with a TTS 6th gear and 18 front,I went 215 by GPS at 3400 ft of altitude(basic mcexpress kit-16t turbo).I have been faster with the upgraded motor(19t-1363-cams-JE pistons-motorhead tune-ect),but no gps to prove it. 225 would be my guess.I am hoping to do better this year. smile.gif

very nice, what are you using for a rear sprocket to run with the 18 front?

the 215 run was with a stock rear sprocket. The TTS 6th is 12% over.I did not change the rear sprocket with the upgraded moter,so whatever the limiter is(varies slightly from bike to bike, but assume 10,800)would be it. It will bounce off it with ease now.I think TMH said he got over 360 with it,but I don't run the boost that high on it.It has a 2 stage (XS) controller and I am running 15 and 20 now.I did try to dyno it on a DJ250,but the lighter drum"slings"and boost falls off,so I can't get a reliable reading with this motor here. The drum will sling@ about 16 lbs and the highest hp that is recorded@ that boost level is 310-315 or so.I am not a tech. guy so these are just my observations.Dennis put it together,so he could answer any real tech stuff.

Saw11200 on the tach in fifth.. true redline is 10,800.
GPS said 176---tried to upshift at that speed but couldn't get it in.

196 mph on the speedo. Was going for 200 but I ran out of room you eat a little road at that speed. tounge.gif

is the speedo 7.5% off faster or slower? and how do you fix that
7.5 % faster on the speedometer. You can fix it with a Yellwo Box (Black Robotics)

Measure it once with a GPS and then you know the error for the future.

Change gearing to fit your riding style, this will also change the percentage of error up or down.

Best bet is once you know the error why worry about it...
