How is everyone enjoying their Gen 3?

I just love seniors who ride sportbikes, ha-ha. It's so rebellious and contrary to our cultural conditioning! So effortlessly cool! :p

The old people I have no respect for are the ones who show me their utter lack of self-respect, and even less if they let their young selves die years ago. That's easy for me to notice.

I treat them respectfully, but internally, they're low in my book, because they're not giving me a good example to follow.

Any person of old age that at the least keeps up with me and at the most surpasses me in anything, physically or mentally, THAT is an elder to me.

When I see an old body but the person controlling it still hasn't gotten old, I get star struck.

It shows me the person is still in the fight and cares about how we younger people see them, even if diseases or out of control situations have made life harder for them.

The pastor in my church is a 78 year old Vietnam war veteran. He volunteered, too. Has several health conditons. Poor guy is an etcetera, but despite all the bad stuff he went through, dude behaves my age.

I tease him and prank him all the time just because he makes me laugh so much. He's got a fast mind and has put me in my place so many times, ha-ha. I'm proud of knowing him. He might not ride a motorcycle, but he would if his wife let him and his health allowed him!

Hello, what raising links model did you order ? Schnitz, Lucas ? Thanks
Here are my numbers:
118.7mm (4.67") stock link center to center.

The bike now has a set of Soupy's adjustable links (1lb 3oz and set almost as short as they'll go to 105mm. Again, shortening the link raises the rear, but you have to leave enough room to tighten the nuts). Screwed into max shortness, 13.7mm shorter than stock raised my license plate 44.5mm / 1 3/4" off ground.
Hayabusa All Years Adjustable Raising Lowering Links

Downside to the Soupy's adjustable links is that they're heavy. These Schnitz billet links are a lot lighter, but they are not as short as the maxed out adjustable one. I'm still on the OEM rear however, and I think I will go to the Schnitz because moving to a 55 profile rear tire will also lift the bike a little.

111mm / Schnitz billet / 4 3/8" center to center / 7.7mm shorter = 24.7mm (.97") higher according to Schnitz but I haven't verified this.

According to Dunlop, re rear tires, going from 190/50 > 190/55 = 10mm / .39" higher.

I’ve ordered my raising links. Can’t wait to install them!

Are you running stock tyre dimensions or have you changed that as well? Not sure if raising the height of the tyre as well is needed or overkill.

Will run mine with the stock tyres until they are toast, but keen for any advice/insight for when it comes time to replace the tyres.
I really love having the links be adjustable, and to be able to tune the suspension. I was surprised to immediately love the bikes handling with the adjustment turned to Max shortness. I'm also running the OEM tires at 34 PSI cold, so they may be just a hair on the mushy side (but I'm loving the grip I'm getting from these tires). When I put the 190/55 on, I'm guessing I'll want to lower the rear just a hair, which will probably make the link the exact length of the Schnitz Billet.

From my experience I'm guessing a 190/55 plus the Schnitz links will be perfect. *In which case I'll be looking to sell the adjustable links. I'm not a drag strip guy, but being able to raise the bike for the twisties and dump it for the track might be perfect for someone out there. PM me if interested.
