How Many 08 Owers Use Mode Selector

After the first 600 miles I remembered the mode switch and went down to c mode
to see what it was like.

My conclusion was that: If the bike was that weak I'd pour gas on it and light
it on fire!

A mode even in the rain.

Turn that fat azz beeotch on and don't change shid... If you want to puss around just dont twist the throttle. Mode selector is a waste of time and $$$...

Is there any way to get rid of the button.  I know the weight savings is minimal, but that's vauable realestate on the right bar.

Put the key it and turn it.  Ride. Rinse. Repeat.  Learn throttle management and the modes are useless.  What's the point of making the "Fastest Production Bike" into a heavy 750cc pig?  It's annoying that Suzuki decided to put a nanny mode on the Busa to protect us from our own ignorance.
+1 Brother, much more powerful engines on the planet (aircraft, etc), dont need to be retuned to be controllable.

Always mode "A". Throttle is silky smooth enough to control in any conditions.

I usually run A,but i run on B when my tyres are old and i run C programme when it rains. So i think it helps me a lot.B on sleepery roads

I have yet to take mine out of Mode A.  Question was brought up at the track though.  Could you launch in Mode C and then after 1st gear change the mode selector to Mode A?  That way Mode C doesn't apply to much power to lift the front tire?
I tried C mode at the dragon last week and I liked it..... You still had tons of power but when in the curves I didnt have to worry about over powering out and losing it........ I liked it there.. I also tried it in the city and it had a smoother feel for going down a city street, a busa has the all or nothing feel in the city IMHO.

I also tried to change the map from C to A while on the throttle and when I hit the button the front end came up FAAAST... I wasnt ready for it either.... I tucked that information deep inside my dont do that again bag......

Found a new use for the mode selector!!! Get in 3rd or 4th gear in C mode and pin the throttle, when the bike gets to 5000 rpm or greater hit the mode button to A!!! WEEEEEEEEE! Turbo Boost!

I thought it was for drunk , drinking, and sober.... No let me think, you come up on a three hundred yard oil slick with marbles on it.... Dark & you have a cramp in your wrist... Bald tire & your mother on the back, Hazmat & 25 cops there.   C time!  Or perhaps say you're hillclimbing with chains on & it starts to hook up & yur gonna break something cauze you've wired the TB's full open for the nitrus so you use it like a stage 1 -2 kill button. I tried it on the way home tonite & was horrified at the flat C thing... like dropping a nad.  10 seconds later & I won't use it until the techs figure out some way to get something like more power outta it.  At any rate it can't be a bad thing 'cause its on the Busa.  More computer power can only help with the maps I think.  Think about the Gen 3, probably working up to traction control...for babies.

I gave C (chicken mode) a try today and I agree with you about around town. The bike is so jerky (A mode) in 30mph stop and go zone. In C mode it was very smooth and didnt jerk me forward everytime I had to slow down. Starting out in A mode in heavy traffic can also be a jerky experince. Cornering in slow zones is also easier and fluid. Getting on the highway in C mode sucks.

I am concerned when I do add a exhaust system like R77 Yosh I will lose the Modes. I like them and will be using them around the town from now on.

C mode has to be better in the gas mileage department and I am going to start keeping track at fill ups and "c" what happens.

**I am still in the break-in phase under 5500 so that may change as I get more RPM bandwidth on my review on C mode

dont know why they even put 1 on waste of time for me will never be used
also why a gear indicator ? never looked at that either

Isn't that what the throttle is for?  If the switch did something useful like shift the powerband that would be different - on bikes that are very peaky with no power below 7 or 8 thjousand revs I can see the point - but the Busa has enough sensible power from just over tickover I can't see why they fitted it.
I agree 100%. The busa has VERY smooth and progressive power right off idle, and its VERY controllable......if you need a switch to keep you out of trouble in ANY conditions maybe your not ready for this bike? Its not like the busa's a 2-stroke that hits like a light switch

But then again so many new riders just have to have a busa (and suzi knows it) that I'm amazed they didn't nueter it to death like the 06-07 14's

At least when you derestrict the early 14's you get a freakin' animal

Put in better words than mine

you know you can bypass the selector for 100% unrestriction by cycling the key on and off 3x while holding the selector button down.
