When you go for an average ride, how many LEOs do you see
patroling for speeders.

They find you when your being bad...normally I see 3-4 black/white cars...some bikes in the summer in the cities and highway patrol on the interstates. It seems like they give you a +10 mph on the hghways and the speed of trafic or regular roads without a second look...gotta pick your spots to stretech your legs.

It varies from ride to ride for me. Some days I can go 150 miles and never see one, other days I see 4 or 5. Usually run across them in some of the small towns I go through.

I use to very seldom see any on my rides, or maybe one somewhere. BUT NOW, with City and State $$$$$$ shortages, I see at least 1 in EVERY small town with a pad in his hand just looking for some autographs

I think that's just your perception. Our citations are way down because of the economy. We're seeing a lot more instances of registrations and inspections out. People simply can't afford to pay for stuff like that when putting food on the table is a much higher priority. Every other officer I've spoken with has greatly throttled back on ticket writing and is saving it for people who really need an adjustment made to their driving behavior.

Not to often around here unless you get in towards town, and most of them pretty cool, you do not ever see them giving out tickets for the tag placement or things like that, just speeding and wreckless stuff mainly

I don't normally see many, on a long ride, maybe one or two. The last few days, though, they've been out in force. Luckily for me, it seems like every time I get stuck behind some cager that remembers Ford introducing the model A, I go nuts for about 30 seconds and BAM! Cop driving the other way. Grampa probably saved me a mint this weekend.

Hardly ever.... I guess that is why I don't understand how some of my friends get 3 or 4 tickets on a day of riding.. I guess they are too busy pulling them over.. and oh yeah.. I'm riding the backroads.

Averaging around 3-4 on half-day rides. The thing that gets me is that they are never
where you need them. You know, like when some jackass is endangering everybody else on the road... I guess it's Murphy's Law in action.
