Averaging around 3-4 on half-day rides. The thing that gets me is that they are never
where you need them. You know, like when some jackass is endangering everybody else on the road... I guess it's Murphy's Law in action.

This is exactly what came to mind when I was reading this. I had a couple idiots this weekend flipping lit cigarettes out of their cars and one cut me off, of course no one around "Protecting and Serving" but I did have one give me a hard look as I was about to make right hand turn. Funny thing was I was not doing anything he just wanted ot make sure I came to a complete stop, or so I guess.

You know how to keep people from flicking lit cigarettes out their car? Next time someone does it at an intersection, get off your bike, walk up, pick up the butt and flick it back into their car. I've done it dozens of times. If it's good enough for my streets, surely it's good enough for the interior of their cars.

This happened to BusaPebbles and me as we were pulling up to a light a guy flicked a cig out his passenger window right as I was pulling up. He had the window down and asked him why he thought that was ok? He looked stunned, asked me if I was crazy (well F'ing Crazy) so I asked him if he wanted it back. I reached down and after making sure it was not lit and started to put it in his window. He said if I did he would get out and kick my azz (as he was putting up the window). So stuck it in and it wedged between the glass and door. He gets out and starts to come around. I think it was then he realized I am 6'3" 240ish. I also had on a helmet and armored jacket and gloves with armor so I did not look small. I put the kickstand down and started to get off when he got back in the car, faced forward and promptly left when the light turned green. Hopefully he will not do that again.

We're in a pretty urban/suburban area. Must've seen about a dozen cops yesterday on a one-hour ride, and 4 of those were actual speed traps set up. Unbelievable.

You've done it "dozens" of times???

They find you when your being bad...normally I see 3-4 black/white cars...some bikes in the summer in the cities and highway patrol on the interstates. It seems like they give you a +10 mph on the hghways and the speed of trafic or regular roads without a second look...gotta pick your spots to stretech your legs.

+1 I usually don't notice them till I have already gone by since I am usually slow they will usually just tailgate me to see if I will speed for the sake of self preservation or give the bike the once over trying to find a reason to write one.

Me and my kid rode for a bit yesterday, did some mods and had to go stress test them.
There were so many cops patrolling it was like they got a tip that Osama Bin Laden had come to Daphne and all hands were on deck.

I waved at one who was parked running radar and he just looked at me like I slapped his wife on the butt.

Rejoice those of you who see few of them!

I would love to see you do this in uniform...

Just starting riding again for this season, and I've seen lots of police out. Not unusual to get followed for awhile. I guess there aren't many bikes out yet, so I draw their attention.

Yesterday, they were running Radar from up on an overpass. After I passed, I saw something incredible. There was one car above doing radar, one car waiting on the on-ramp to get someone, and seven (yes... 7 police cars had people pulled over). There was a total of 9 cars. The one above on the overpass sits mostly behind a highway sign mounted on the overpass. Talk about speedtrap...

Oh yea, for those of you that have been clocked by laser in the MIDDLE of NOWHERE!

Central FL area is swamped with LEOs. It's nothing to see 15-20 units on some of the major thoroughfares on a regular basis....
